A few hours ago I released the first chapter to the latest installment of my Sphere Tetralogy. World of Warcraft: Seekers of the Epitaph will showcase key moments over nine installments going from Classic to Shadowlands. There will be some elements of Dragonflight but there will be no Dragon Isles.
There will be deviations from the canon and I will do my best to show the consequences of those deviations. Let's just say that actions early in the story will cause the Battle for Azeroth arc to go a lot differently and may end up becoming the darkest arc in this story. Fates will be changed and events will be altered.
This story will have multiple points of view between the protagonists and the antagonists. Both sides will have their fill of dungeons and raids. I also made sure that all classes will be represented in this story. Here's a hint: 13 characters in total, but it's not going to be one character per class as there may be one or two sharing the same class and one or two may be dual classing. Have fun guessing who is going to be what class.
Anyway, after the first chapter, the next five are going to be introducing 9 of the 13 characters with the other 4 showing up in later arcs. I'll try to post a chapter every few days as I'd like to maintain a 6 chapter buffer to let the previously written chapters settle in my mind and give me time to think of any adjustments I might want to make.
