    End of the Road

Whelp, I'm approaching the end of my last semester at college. One of my teammates in one of my classes just submitted our group project, now all we have to do is wait for the grade. The Rubicon has been crossed, and I anxiously wait to see what's on the other side.

    Writing Session Count

Quick question; I use the "Views" of chapters I'm working on (so unpublished ones) as a general proxy for how many writing sessions I've spent on the chapter. Does 27 writing sessions for one chapter (that's about 1/2 to 2/3 complete) sound about normal?

    A Choice of Evils

So, recently I've been redoing some of my old maps for "The Song of the Spheres," and between them and my worldbuilding notes I've run into a bit of a problem: a lot of them don't make sense.

Initially, this blog was only going to be a meme about how hard deciding whether or not to read Triptych Continuum is for me.

Then, I discovered that I have absolutely no skill at making shareable memes. Like, I can't even figure out what website to use to make them.

So, I'll have to use my words to state my conundrum; Estee's Triptych Continuum is amazing, fascinating worldbuilding and incredible character work combined with a masterful flair for wordsmithing. But the stories are also long, feature incredible amounts of angst, as well as existential horrors which make my soul scream (no thanks, Glimmer, I don't think I'll read you today, I like being able to sleep). I love the world and the character work, except when I don't, then it either makes me sad or horrified. What's a poor, slightly-saner version of the Flower Trio to do?

Reading the shorter Slice of Life and Comedy stories should help. Total Eclipse of the Fun is a great example of a silly Estee multichapter fic.

Go for the short form comedies, they're a little angsty but with catharsis in the form of laughter at the end.

But then I like angst, so if that doesn't work, my b

If you want to read the heavier stories, I suggest going slowly, and only reading when you're already in a good place, mentally. That's pretty much how I got through their darker pieces.
