What is the one phrase your parents say all the time but it became a phrase you've grown to hate being used all the time?
Mine is "Pay attention and stay in the moment" Almost every time I misplaced something and knock into something by accident, my stepdad would stay that to me almost a near daily thing. I'm generally a clumsy person and does ones' best to keep up with personal effects and what where they're going. But its getting to a point that I loathe that saying cause I do pay attention and stay in the moment but really.
Shit happens and it usually resolves itself.
Like a few moments ago, I misplaced my drawing pen for my tablet and spent nearly an hour tearing up the place looking for it. I did find it, but I heard my dad say that phase to me....
What a few people don't really know about me, when I get frustrated and flustered trying to look I get a little snappy - not taking it out on others but I'm just more frustrated with myself. Combined me getting frustrated and dad says that, I gotta admit, I did snap at him, but it's something I didn't need to hear. Now I did find the pen and apologized to him...
Lemme know what's one phrase you hear all the time and had grown to hate hear it?
Stop living in a fantasy, and focus on the real. It has no use in the future.
I’m at a standstill between “Have some common sense.” and “You can’t fix stupid.”
My stepdad says that stuff and even uses my last name as a slur.
