Christ has overcome the world · 3:24am Jul 12th, 2022

Let's face it; being Christian in this day and age isn't the easiest thing to do. We face opposition from every quarter; those telling us our faith is, in some form or another, not real. We face angry people, even mobs at times. We suffer insults to our intelligence, among other things. And, in far off countries, some Christians even face outright death - whether by government or mob action - for speaking the Word of God, or for refusing to de-convert.

However, an important thing to remember is that, through His death and sacrifice, Christ has already defeated the world;

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33.

This doesn't mean these things go away. We still face these and other difficulties, including those of normal life (bills, taxes, job and house stuff, etc.). It does mean that our victory against the spiritual forces that oppose God is certain. We may not know when or how our efforts (provided they were earnest in the first place) will reap a dividend for God's Kingdom. We don't even know if we'll be alive tomorrow, let alone five or ten years from now. But none of these efforts (again, provided they were done earnestly, out of love for God and not our own foolish reasons) are wasted. Relatively few people listened to the prophet Jeremiah when he preached about the sins of Judah and Israel and about how they would go away into exile, but every person who heard and didn't listen brought their destruction upon themselves, and the book named after him would tell us of these events, as well as containing Messianic prophecies that foretold the coming of our Lord.

The same is true for those things we do out of love for God. Our efforts are not defeated by the evil spiritual powers of this world, much less by human opposition. From telling the Gospel to a friend to going overseas to preach to those who know nothing of Christ, our efforts, done in godly love and justice and in true reverence to God, do bear fruit, whether we see it in this life or not. While none of us can do everything, all of us can do something.

May as many people as possible be saved from eternal destruction by our God, and may Christ be glorified. Amen.

Thank you for reading this. May the Lord Jesus Christ save those not saved already, then guide, protect, and watch over you all.

To be fair; you have a tendency to insist that other faiths are not real and interpret the free expression of other faiths as oppressive to you. You’re not exactly the best example of coexistence in a country with Freedom of Religion.
You also have a habit of branding people who disagree with you on certain subjects as unrepentant enemies of Christian God; and then get bent when people interpret you as a potentially violent zealot with very aggressive opinions on what ought to be done to people who go against Christian God.
It’s unfair of me to presume that you’re just like the Evangelicals who liberally address my biologically female wife with transphobic slurs because she doesn’t meet their beauty standards, but you don’t exactly giving me a lot of reasons to not do so.
