So an *ahem* inappropriate provocative interesting (NSFW) survey by ImJustAnotherBrony got me thinking... in an entirely SFW way... if you were in Equestria, what would the Mane 6 ponies mean to you?
For me, Twilight would be the intellectual friend, the one I'd ask for advice (most of the time). Rarity is, well, Rarity. She's probably my least favorite just due to her overall attitude of putting fashion first, though hanging out with her wouldn't be all bad. Just not all the time. Definitely when I'm in the mood for tea. Pinkie... let's be honest here, you don't exactly have much choice. If Pinkie wants to hang out, you do NOT say no. Bad things happen. 
And I love pranks. Of course Rainbow Dash would probably come along too. Speaking of RD, she and Applejack would be the kinds of friends I'd go to the bar with, hang out, and discuss... awesome stuff. They'd probably be my closest friends of those five. Because I love discussing awesome stuff. And apple cider.
And Fluttershy? By Celestia, I would just flat out marry Fluttershy.

Yeah, I could definitely see myself spending the most SFW time with Applejack and Rainbow Dash. I can see us swapping dozens of stories and laughing at all of them. As for Pinkie Pie and Twilight? I'd definitely get into discussions regarding the meaning of life, so that's nice. Rarity would be pleasant to go gem hunting with along with Spike, just getting to hop around a quarry would be fun.
And as for Fluttershy? It'd be nice to talk with her once a week at one of Rarity's tea parties.
