Hey everyone!
As the title says my first story on this site The Longest Sleepover is complete! It took a little longer to write than I had planned due to real life being busy and stressful due to the summer, but I'm happy to have wrapped it up, and I feel satisfied with how it has turned out. I won't lie that about 70% of the story was pretty much made on the fly by me since I had the start and the execution of the plot all planned out, but actually getting there and then carrying it all the way to the finish took more effort than I had expected. Either way I'm happy to have written my first story for this site, and now I can start planning out what I'll be doing next.
What do I have planned for next? Well, I'm currently thinking about writing two different stories. The first one is an anthology of short stories about the everyday happenings around Equestria featuring characters that aren't as well known in FiM, and I don't mean the characters seen only once on the show, I mean characters featured in merchandise and with cameos in the show that either never got much attention or just came and went. I feel that by doing it like this I can put stories out more frequently, and also help get their characters out there more since some of them have an appealing design to them, and they deserve more attention, especially since G4 is now in the rear window.
The second story I have planned is a much longer one, and it'll be set in the G5 timeline, taking place after New Generation but before Meet Your Mark. It's based on an idea I had developed after delving into the backstory and concepts behind G5 one night, and having seen how G5 has gone so far with the Tell your Tale series, I've been thinking, "So far we've seen how not everyone is happy about Magic being back, now what if we explored how someone is happy for it being back, but wishes to exploit it for their own gain?". That's how I've come up with the idea for this story, and I cannot wait to start sharing it with you when I finally post it in the near future, it's going to be a real rollercoaster rise.
