Story updates and what happened to Sprout Cloverleaf?

Hi every pony,

I know it's been a while since i posted anything, mainly because 'vee been feeling the terrible pull of writing MLP G5 stories ever since the movie came out. I've got two new G5 stories in the works; one story is my take on just why Sprout Cloverleaf dislikes unicorns and pegisus ponies so much and where it came from. The second story in the works is about Sprout himself and his fate that was left unfinished by the movie and was not even touched upon in the recent special aired on Netflix. In the interim, I edited my first G5 story bit to get out the glaring errors that 'd missed. I didn't make it longer, just fixed what I thought was the worst errors I could see. I do hope it makes for a better read now. The next chapter for my 'Wonderbolt Academy' story is almost ready; I have to fill out some dialogue between the BFF's in order to make the 'breakfast scene' more understandable and even throw in a bit of humor on top.

Although I did like the movie and thought (most of) the story was good, I just wasn't thrilled for the recent special as I was about the movie. I did watch it 3 times total, enjoying a little less each time I watched it because I just wasn't thrilled with the way the story was told and how poorly the writers made Izzy and Hitch; dumbing them both down. Posey, the stand-in for Sprout, struck me as an empty antagonist who really didn't have any real reason for her dislike of unicorns or pegisus ponies. "I just don't like it!" was her empty reasoning for why she complained about pegisus ponies flying either too high or too low for her liking around Maretime Bay. Wow, the writers couldn't give her ANY better reason for her distain of non-earth ponies being in Maretime Bay?

And what was up with the 20 second clip of a mysterious 'Dark Alicorn' character they're hinting at in the last 2 minutes of the film? My prediction for who this alicorn is; it's going to be revealed she is Sunny's missing mother; Argyle Starscout hid his daughter away from her 'evil mother' so as to keep Sunny from being corrupted by 'dark magic', much like Luna was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. But, then again, who knows. I'm trying to keep a positive vibe for the upcoming series but this special had me worried. Let's hope the writing team does a better job with the next special and can make the series something worthwhile to invest our time in watching along.
