With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.
That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.
I seriously hope this video looks as impressive as it felt.

This week, Misty forces her friends to play a D&D campaign with a DM who sounds like she's bored out of her mind.
Pretty decent this week.
...where I really wish it wasn't 3 AM.
Have to save the last one for tomorrow after work, then it's time to 100% Freedom Planet 2, something I really didn't think I'd pull off.
...I hope the Crystal Brighthouse has a reeeaally good shower.
On another note, this is probably the closest thing to an adult innuendo G5 has gotten to so far!

Oh yeah. They definitely knew what they were doing with that line.
Unfortunately, that may have just been the highlight of this entire episode for me. One of Izzy's character flaws is that she just doesn't understand boundaries (brought on by the fact that she may very well have had an even lonelier upbringing than Sunny). It was cute and funny in the movie when she was getting in Hitch's personal space (both when Hitch realized he lost his badge and during the Fit Right In song) and when she sniffed Sunny (which the latter just justifiably weirded out by). But Tell Your Tale seems to have taken it too far. Like in Nightmare Roommate where she's using all her roommates' stuff. Or in Maretime Bay Day 2.0 where she swipes Pipp's laptop and accidentally deletes all her video of the event (even from her phone? I mean, surely Pipp wasn't recording Maretime Bay Day off of her laptop's camera. I guess the pegasi of Zephyr Heights have the cloud?). Or here, where she is taking apart items still very much in use by other ponies for parts. It actually detracts from the lesson about being able to repurpose things that might otherwise be discarded as junk. And, oh my God, I feel sorry for Posey. I swear, half of her hatred for magic in Make Your Mark is probably because of Izzy.
This might take a while to be addressed because, even if people agree with me, there are probably quite a few episodes already done or well along that Izzy's issues will continue in TYT for a while. But Izzy was quite possibly my favorite character in A New Generation, and she definitely took a hit in Tell Your Tale. I do want to see her either get turned around or see some character development.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain both the movie and TYT were developed at the same time, so I'm really hoping that TYT eventually starts to gravitate towards how they were in the movie.
But I also think that we need more than five minute episodes to tackle things like Izzy's loneliness.
My greatest hope lies with the comic. TYT is cute, but Make Your Mark's writing didn't do anypony any favors, except maybe a liiitle bit with Zipp, but that's because she was carrying the whole damn show.
I know, right?!
Also an entire scene about singing about loving trash just sounds like it’s begging to get a meme made into it on this site. Or Reddit.
A few more thoughts:

I'm sure it did before Izzy took apart the showerhead.
2) Speaking of which, waiting for Pipp to ask where Izzy found replacement parts for her mane dryer.

Izzy... there's a jeweler three blocks down.
4) A few years back, I remember watching a Pokemon stream, and the gamer had named their Garbodor (literal pile of trash) "Your Waifu." And I think back to that now because if anyone wanted to troll a person for making Izzy their waifu, they now have an image of her poking her head out of a dumpster with a ring around her horn.
5) It's occurred to me that Izzy is the only one of the Mane 5 who hasn't been shown to have some occupation. Sunny works at/runs a smoothie stand, Hitch is the sheriff, Pipp runs a salon in addition to content creating, and Zipp is a detective (does she still run a flight school, or was that a one-time thing?). But we haven't seen Izzy at a job or anything, and I could imagine her setting up shop as a tinkerer/repairer in town (not unlike Dr. Eggman during his Mr. Tinker phase in the IDW comics).
