Muddled Metaphors-a Short Skit · 12:35pm May 2nd, 2022

One morning, Gordon was proceeding along the main line with the express, when he was forced to stop at a red signal to let a freight through. As he waited for the line to clear, he saw Sonny sitting outside a set of gates that led to an old junkyard. A device that his driver was holding was producing an incredible racket.

"What on earth is going on?" Gordon asked.

Sonny glanced over. "Oh! Hello Gordon! My driver is currently carving my name into the sign."

Gordon was puzzled. "Why?"

Sonny smiled. "Back when I was still owned by those two crooks, one of them said that there was a scrapyard with my name on it. So I figured that if a scrapyard that was on Sodor had my name on it, I could never be sent to it."

Gordon sighed. "I see."

"And the likelihood of two scrapyards being called Sonny is very small."

The signal dropped, and Gordon pulled away, huffing. "It's apparently not the only thing that's small around here."

Bonus points if you spot what this is referencing.
