Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! This is Mr. J back with another movie review for tonight! This evening, I will be reviewing Universal Pictures 1993 film entitled: Jurassic Park . Now, let me make something clear for anyone curious: I was never a fan of this franchise, but I was still acquainted with it. Back when I was a kid, I grew up watching this movie and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Even though I wasn’t a fan of this franchise, I still found it interesting. Heck, I even remember going on a roller coaster ride with my dad as a kid which was quite...terrifying to be honest. Just recently, I rewatched this movie along with the second movie and watched the third film for the first time (and before anyone asks: yes, I also watched the Jurassic World movies). As far as this movie is concerned, I thought it was pretty great albeit with some flaws.

This movie is where it all began. This is about a Jurassic Park of genetically engineered dinosaurs that came from dinosaur DNA preserved in mosquitos within amber. Although the cloning has been accomplished, things take a south turn for our characters. After a man shuts down the security system and the fences, all hell breaks loose and dangerous dinosaurs wreck havoc. Who will manage to survive?

I thought that the movie was great and the characters were all interesting. If anything, the movie made me love dinosaurs a lot more than before, especially as they are all pretty fascinating creatures to study about. I may not be Shockwave or Dr. Octavius, but dinosaurs in general are pretty cool to look upon. It makes me happy knowing that Dinobots exist within the Transformers franchise.

The cinematography was splendid and the use of animatronics and computer-generated graphics for the dinosaurs looked so real and impressive. It appeared as if actual dinosaurs were there and made them quite entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Props to the people for making those action scenes so awesome to look at.

The acting was pretty good too. I enjoyed the performances of Sam Neil as Dr. Grant, Jeff Goldblum as Malcolm, Laura Dern as Ellie, and the late Richard Attenborough as Hammond. Wayne Knight and Samuel L. Jackson were solid additional cast members too since they played their characters very well.

The only issues I have with this movie is the pacing and the lack of adequate screen time for the T-Rex. The T-Rex is my favorite dinosaur of all time, so I was underwhelmed by how little he appears in the movie. Nonetheless, the scenes in which he does appear in where all satisfying to watch. The jump-scares were pretty decent, and the final battle could have been better but it’s fine.

So yes, Steven Spielberg did a wonderful job in directing this movie and thus giving birth to one of the most popular franchises in the history of Hollywood and the film industry. I will rate this a solid 8/10!

Peace!

You could say they spared no expense in making this film.

Life finds a way.

I say this a good movie and is my favorite out of the Jusrassic Park series

I’m not exactly sure why, but for some reason...I have a feeling that you’re review on the second Jurassic Park film will be mixed at the most.
