"Tale of 2 Big Boys", a new beginning · 9:52am Apr 23rd, 2022

As you may recall from my last blog post, "Tale of 2 Big Boys", the next story in the Battleship Express Saga, which was meant to be a collab project between myself, and the user "An Iowa-Class Battleship", hit a severe snag when Iowa up and decided to head on out, delete all of his stories, and his account here on FIMFiction........without ever saying a word to me, and with his account went a massive PM chock full of valuable story lore, test scenes, and snowballed ideas, now lost forever. I asked you all to help me in finding any trace of "Rails of Destruction", the story that "Battleship Express" was based on, and one of 2 prequels to "To2BB" (the other being "Tracks Backwards", and you all came through, pointing me to the FIMFiction Archives, Dropbox, and I also found the story on FIMFetch.com, bringing me back to a rough square one
Where does the story stand now? Well, as it sits right now, the Prologue, and Chapters 1-2 are 100% complete, but Chapter 3 was abandoned at only about 25% complete, with the ball still in Iowa's court, so it needs to be written by me now, with the correct lore. However, I'm not alone on this project anymore. This story is now being co-written by my good friend, and sometimes co-author "Terry the Human", and will be revamped, and in more ways than one. What do I mean by this? Well, aside from having to rewrite scenes from scratch (f@#k you Iowa!), since "RoD" is now technically a "zombie-story" (ie, it was never finished, and then deleted, so it's no longer "canon", but yet since it still happened as referenced in "To2BB", it's not "not-canon" either, it now serves as a guideline for "To2BB", but not a perfect prequel anymore) a key piece of "RoD" lore was changed. What was this piece of lore? Well, I don't want to spoil anything yet, but I'll give you a clue. Find "Rails of Destruction" on FIMFetch.com, and read Chapters 5. Then head over to my story "Tracks Backwards", and read Chapter 2, the 4th scene from the bottom, of Leopard in the Cloudsdale Archives. Something doesn't match between the 2 stories anymore. Bonus points for anyone who can tell me what it is in the comments
When will this story be ready? Honestly, I don't know anymore. It's on hiatus for the time being, due to needing a lot of work, and my primary focus for the moment is "Texas: A Time to Fight!" Once that's complete, then I'll turn my attention back to "To2BB". I'm also very thankful that you've all stuck with me through this haphazard story project, despite many setbacks and delays. It really means a lot to me
I'll be interested to see if anyone can find the major lore change between "RoD", and "Tracks Backwards", and I'll see you all again soon!

Oh wow… I um… missed a LOT it seems. I guess that’s what happens when I don’t check on one of my favorite story series in a good year and a half.
In all seriousness, Iowa pulled a dick move and I hope you come back full swing :)

And yeah, you missed a bit, but not too much. And yeah, what he did was inexcusable. He had at least 5 different chances to tell me that he wasn't going to be able to finish the story, as he was leaving FIMFiction, which would have given me time to at least save our PM, which was full of so much story lore, but no. He said nothing to me, and just slithered off like a snake into the night, after deleting all of his stories, blog posts, and finally his account. If it hadn't been for the timely help from my good friend, and co-author Terry the Human, not to mention me discovering FIMFetch.com, FIMfiction's Archives, which still contained all of Iowa's stories, including "Rails of Destruction", I would have been dead in the water with this story. Even today though, it's having to undergo MASSIVE rewrites to make it better, which is why it's taking so long to get out. Hopefully I'll have more updates on it soon
