"Okay, I have to know."
Meta and his human counterpart are sitting together in human Meta's bedroom, the man carefully brushing his counterpart's long mane. He looks up from his task with a confused expression.
"Hm?"
"How are you two so close?"
"Me and Griffy?"
"Y-Yeah, I mean, you two are practically joined at the hip, but my Griff always leaves me...a-and I know he has jobs but yours does too..."
"Yes, I guess we are pretty close... he's always by my side when I need him, and I'm with him when he needs me."
"Y-Yeah... but you also have kids, more than we do, and he has a whole company... but yet he always makes time for you and I hardly ever see my Griff... so how do you get him to stick with you all the time?"
"It's not really something I have to work for, he's just...always there."
"But I want mine to be there..."
"Well...I don't really know if I can help with keeping him close, but... I definitely understand. Sometimes my Griff is distant, not to the extent yours is, but I always worry that-"
"T-That maybe he found someone better and he doesn't want to be around you anymore?"
"Exactly. It's hard, thinking that maybe one day he won't come back...but you need to trust that he will."
"How can I...?"
"You love him, don't you?"
"Of course I do."
"Then show him, and place your trust in him that he'll always come back. As long as he knows that you still love him, he'll always have a reason to come back."
"Yeah...that makes sense... thanks for talking with me."
"Of course! Now, what do you think?"
Human Meta hands his counterpart a mirror, and when the bug holds it up he can see that the man has given him a fairy crown. Two braids on either side of his head that met at the back, held in place by a beautiful hair brooch with Japanese-based designs.
"I-It's beautiful... thank you..."
"Of course, I'm glad you like it!"
