Update Blog - 4/10/2022

This is just a quick update regarding what to expect here in the future, what I've learned so far based on feedback and reviewing, as well as just going over some other various news.

With the UTF rewrite now heading on towards Chapter 6, I think that this has been a very positive choice to revamp the series. For the most part, it seems like it has been turning out very well with each following chapter, retelling the story while adding enough to make it new and fresh/different enough to make it its own story.

With that said, there is still plenty I can do to make it better. I don't know if the schedule will necessarily change release-wise, but I will definitely be taking more time to edit and revise. Chapter 5 has definitely undergone a whole lot of edits since release, which is not good. I went into this story aiming to treat it like a live-service video game, in the sense that if something is wrong after each chapter is released, I can just go in and edit it. Take criticism positively, so to speak. Now that isn't an excuse to push out low-tier chapters as quickly as possible only to fix it later on, and I know that, but to me personally, I see it better to have a well-made finished project as opposed to a story that starts off strong only to diminish and fall short later down the line. Doing the latter only discourages the reader to continue further, and being someone who has read stories like that, I know it's not fun to read something only to hate it once I'm finished.

In short, this has for sure been an eye-opener and I will be doing my part to make sure this doesn't happen again.

The next one-shot Apex Legends x MLP story is in the works, but no set release date can be confirmed quite yet. With that said, if you'd like to see a particular pony and/or legend in said story, you can still comment and vote accordingly.
