    Caught up!

    Hey all,

I finally finished reworking the chapters of Mothership Eta I had previously published, and I'm now ready to continue putting new stuff down! I'll admit progress was slow; it's much less exciting to edit than it is to create. There were a couple of pieces of advice that stuck in my mind as I was working:

    The Anniversary Post

    Hey all,
It's not exactly one year since I started posting on this site, but close enough. I wanted to share my thoughts on everything that's changed between then and now.

Oops. Or, learning vocabulary with Tunneling Carp!

I have discovered that the word platitudes does not mean what I thought it did. Oops. Went ahead and changed that. We'll just put that down to equine mistranslation of divine words...:twilightsheepish:

State of the Stories · 11:56pm Mar 3rd, 2022

Hey all,

It's update time! I finished the first of the paired set of stories I want to upload together. And, better news, the second story is (probably) 2/3 done already! I realized while writing story #1 that it'd be a whole lot easier to finish if I could refer to story #2 in its completed form. So that's what I've been doing this past month.

"But Carp," you say, "why not upload the story you have done? Millions* of people are waiting in eager anticipation!" It's because the story I have finished isn't the story I wanted to write, but the story I had to write. It needs to exist so the incomplete story is fleshed out, but it won't make too much sense on its own. I anticipate a lot of "Why did Carp spend so much time on this?" if just the one story is available. There's a reason, maybe even a good reason, but it requires story #1 to really explain why I did spend so much time on it. Next blog post I'll be able to go into details. Probably.

I'll be back working on story #1 in earnest over the next few days. I know where I want it to go, the only issue is getting it written down. It's coming, though, I promise, and will hopefully go quicker than story #2 as not as much "research" is required. I'll explain that in a further blog post too...

See you at the next upload!
