'Twas the ninth of December, a nondescript day,
When on this here site, full of whinny and nay,
A writer noticed blog-posts, proclaiming a trend.
"Oh boy, a bandwagon, I best jump on, like I do to no end."
This little furor demanded of watchers,
They get into the season, like all of the others.
Their avatars would, for the rest of the year,
Be clad in a red and white piece of head-gear.
"But woe is me," our young writer thought,
"At editing pictures, I suck rather a lot."
Though try he did, and after more error than trial,
He found the results were semi-worthwhile.
So he got cocky and went above and beyond,
With a poem, so that his torture be prolonged.
I'm sitting here at night, my eyesight discorded,
Hoping, in vain, that these efforts be rewarded.
"But no," I think, "I am not worthy,
To receive praise from those ranking above me."
All I can do is desperately try,
By posting a link everywhere I can find,
That is even slightly related to this.
Though my ego might be compared to an abyss.
But in my rambling I've been so dense,
To forget the picture that stated this mess.
So without further ado, I send it your way,
If I can get it to work, anyway.
It's really good to see,
People joining the festivity.
