EQUESTRIAN AGE - Clip 9: Melons

A flock of Crocutagriffs was goose-stepping as the general of the troop sang “I don’t know what I’ve been told,”.

“I don’t know what I’ve been told,” The troop sang back as they marched across the camp where several more Crocutagriffs are doing some exercises and warming up.

“The end of Equestria will be mighty cold,” The general sang as a female Crocutagriff tripped and fell on the ground.

“The end of Equestria will be mighty cold,” The troop sang back as they walked over and on top of the fallen female Crocutagriff.

“Prepare for the Ice Age in Equestria!” a Crocutagriff shouted.

“Protect the Crocutagriff way of life!” another Crocutagriff shouted.

“Survival separates us Crocutagriffs from the other Equestrian creatures,” a third Crocutagriff shouted as he accidentally hits his friend and knocked him off.

The Mane 3 followed the Crocutagriff who stoled their melon back to their camp and watched from above on a cliff to see the Crocutagriffs marching around like soldiers.

“Prepare for the Ice Age in Equestria!” a Crocutagriff shouted.

“Ice Age in Equestria?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Pfffft, I’ve heard of these crackpots,” Rainbow Dash said.

The Crocutagriff from earlier placed the melon on a stump along with two other collected melons. But then he saw the Mane 3’s shadows and turned to see them standing before him and panicked as he screamed.

“Intruders!” the Crocutagriff screamed as he ran.

Meanwhile, a Crocutagriff was at a steaming hole with three more Crocutagriffs, teaching them how dangerous the pit is.

“Now don’t fall in. If you do, you will definitely…,” the Crocutagriff said.

But he was interrupted when the Crocutagriff, who collected the melon, came running and yelling.

“Intruders! Intru-AAAHHH!” the Crocutagriff screamed as he fell into the pit and got burned.

The three Crocutagriffs pulled back in disgust and fright as the Crocutagriff said “...Burn and Die,”.

The Mane 3 came forward as Twilight passed the baby to Pinkie and spoke.

“Excuse me, but can we have our melon back? You see, junior’s hungry and…,” Twilight said pointing to the baby with her hoof.

“No way! This is our private stockpile for the Ice Age In Equestria. Sub-Arctic temperatures will force us underground for a billion and million years,” the Crocutagriff said as he ran to the stump and the other Crocutagriffs gathered around.

“But that’s a very long time and since you have three melons, I’m afraid you folks won’t last long when that happens,” Twilight said.

The Crocutagriff looked at the melons and noticed that Twilight was right. Then he looked at Twilight with an angry look and said as he got on top of one of the melons, “If you weren’t smart enough to plan ahead then Doom On You!”.

“Doom On You! Doom On You! Doom On You! Doom On You!” the Crocutagriffs said as they started to swarm around Twilight.

“Get away from me,” Twilight said, backing up.

The Crocutagriff stumbles and sends a melon rolling as Pinkie sends the baby down and the infant caught the melon. The Crocutagriffs were ballistic.

“Retrieve the melon! Tai-Kwan-Crocutagriffs, Attack!” the Crocutagriff shouted.

Three Crocutagriffs jumped in the air and landed in kung-fu poses. But one was facing the other way as he tries facing the other direction. As he faced the correct way, he accidentally kicks the other Crocutagriff away and the third Crocutagriff kicks him to the baby. When the Crocutagriff was near the baby, he kicked the melon out of the child’s hand and the other caught it with its beak. The next Crocutagriff then tossed the melon to the next Crocutagriff, who then tossed it to the next Crocutagriff until one Crocutagriff accidentally throws the melon over the cliff.

Seeing what he has done, the Crocutagriff turned and yelled “The Melon!”.

All the female Crocutagriffs ran after the melon going over the cliffs themselves.

“There goes our last female,” a male Crocutagriff muttered as the female gulped nervously.

Pinke snuck up to the stump and grabbed a melon.

But the Crocutagriffs heard her and ran towards her, knocking the melon out off her hooves as one Crocutagriff landed on her head and kicked the melon to the pit.

“I got it! Got it! Got it! Got it! Got it! Got it!” Three Crocutagriff yelled in unison as they caught the melon with their beaks while standing over the pit on their tippy toes.

But then they lost their balance as one said “Don’t got it,”. And they all fell into the pit along with the melon, screaming.

“The Last Melon!” the Crocutagriffs shouted.

Pinkie has the last melon in her hooves as the Crocutagriffs dogpiled on her, sending the melon rolling towards Twilight, who caught the melon with her magic and held up high away from the Crocutagriffs as they charged towards her. One Crocutagriff bumped into her leg and sees her tail waving above him. And when he jumped up and bit into it, Twilight yelled in pain as she shot the melon into the air out of her magic grasp.

Pinkie ran forward trying to catch the melon as the melon hits some Crocutagriffs on the head and landed right in Pinkies’ hooves. But when Pinkie looked up, she gulped for she has found herself surrounded by Crocutagriffs, on the ground, and in the nests. Pinkie panicked and wondered what she should do. However, when she saw the baby reaching out whimpering, a feeling of bravery shocked her like lightning.

So putting the melon under her right hoof like a football and looking at the Crocutagriffs with determination, Pinkie ran forward and screamed as she sticks her left hoof out like a football player towards the Crocuatagriffs. Everything went in slow motion, like one of those sports movies where the main character is about to score big at the final game. Pinkie ran through the Crocutagriffs, pushing one away with her hooves on his beak and smacking the other with the melon.

Then Pinkie ducks out of the way of two Crocutagriffs, who find themselves headbutting each other, as a few Crocutagriffs were seen flying through the air screaming and landed on the ground while some landed on each other’s back. Pinkie kept running as she looked back and one Crocutagriff charges towards her, only to hit the melon and send Pinkie spinning around hitting two more Crocutagrffs on her left and right.

Soon Pinkie finds herself surrounded by Crocutagriffs as they came charging at her all in unison. But then Pinkie jumped into the air with the greatest of ease as the Crocutagriffs collided with each other. Twilight and Rainbow Dash looked up in awe as the baby closes his eyes. Pinkie landed on the ground near the group as the baby opened his eyes and cheered along with Twilight.

Pinkie jumped into the air and cheered as well.

Two Crocutagriffs looked on in defeat as one cried into the other’s chest and the other tries to comfort it.

Then Pinkie did a little Pinkie Pie victory dance as she jumps into the air again and throws the melon onto the ground, smashing it into pieces.

“Arrgh, Pinkie! Now we gotta find more food for the baby!” Rainbow Dash said as Twilight placed the baby down.

But then the baby started eating some of the pieces of the watermelon.

“Or maybe not,” Twilight said as she, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie smiled with surprise.

The Mane 3 then heard shouting and saw the Crocutagriffs stacking themselves like circus performers.

“Would you look at that? Dinner and a show for the baby,” Twilight said.

The Crocutagriffs tried to keep themselves from falling down a cliff but that didn’t go too well as one by one they all fell down the cliff, screaming.
