Where I am (and where my writing is – or isn't)

Hi, people.

I realised I haven't watched an episode of MLP in the last five years, and though – quite a few times – I have stumbled upon pony-related inspiration, it's rarely related to MLP as you might know it, especially not its post-S4 universe.

Funnily enough, over New Year I wrote roughly 10,000 words of a story set in a (somewhat deeply constructed) alternate universe, whose fundamentals are MLP-based but whose trappings are very different. I am focusing on my career at the moment, so it's unlikely I'll finish this, or any other story, any time soon (now that my brief holiday is over). If I ever do, I'll post it.

Anyway, as is likely clear, I am not really active anymore. It's a shame, but it makes sense. I've spent a lot of time here. I've written many pony-related words, most of which haven't seen the light of day, which is a shame too. Often it's only my silly things that I actually post. My serious stuff I take... too seriously, and the result is I vacillate and refuse to accept anything less than perfection. Ah well.

So, all the best. I won't be leaving Fimfiction, but I am formally acknowledging my lengthy absences and designating them typical.
