Happy new year! · 4:40pm Jan 9th, 2022
Happy new year everyone! I have fallen off of my monthly blog posts for personal reasons. I never left, but I just felt my time was best invested on the home front, and so I had even taken a short break from writing while I handled things.
In short, life was happening. Within the course of September through December, the following happened: my cat died (old age/heart condition), my son was born (he is healthy and doing well), my father died (he had just turned 74 and was the picture of health, then he got sick and declined rapidly; it was quite a shock), and finally, my dog died, suffering from either a heart condition or cancer, as she was very old.
I realize there is a lot in there, and as you can understand, I have been working to take care of things. I’m okay, and I’ve been able to tell everyone that I am sad, but I’m okay. By God’s grace, and no small amount of effort, I had a very good relationship with my dad, and so I have little by way of regret, and really no unfinished business or anything like that. He was a Southern Baptist Preacher, and I had been making videos of his sermons for the past seven years. So, oddly, If you’d like to get to know my father, you can see him here: YouTube: GODTEL Productions
I won’t bore you with details about the dog and cat. Suffice it to say, we loved them very much and miss them. My son is a delight, as babies go, and makes a little fuss before screaming, which is quite reasonable. His sister always tended to go straight for screaming when she was his age.
Now, onto the stuff y’all will be more interested in, and if you took the time to read the above or visit the YouTube link, thank you.
TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING
I have finished posting Too Much Of A Good Thing, so if you were waiting for it to be completed, it is totally finished now. Watching how it performs has been a little disappointing, as it is officially my lowest rated story, with a like to hate ratio of 2:1.
Given the nature of the story, I suspect that the people who wanted that kind of tale wanted something a bit more risqué, and the people who may have enjoyed it for what it is skipped it for fear it was too risqué. That or maybe it just isn’t that good. I cannot know for sure.
If you do read it, and don’t hate it, please remember to hit the like button or leave relevant comments. I can’t speak for other authors, but I love the attention and interaction. And if you don’t want to, that’s okay too. I would probably get a big head if it were too well liked, and we can’t have that, now can we?
NEW STORY
In other news, I’m working on something a little bit different. I’m going to write and post a first draft, something I have not done before. Usually I post a second draft and that is why it takes me so long between stories. As it is, I should have a first chapter shortly, more details to come soon.
Imagine an epic genocide, and the last pegasus fleeing with the few remaining survivors to find a new home.
That’s all I’ve got for now, and I’ll probably get back to keeping my personal life out of these posts. I hope you all are doing well and tackling 2022 with courage. God bless.
