Hiya, lovely peeps!
New year, new library.
So in mid-December I was browsing through my libraries, trying to find a story that I wanted to re-read, and that’s when I realized that the three libraries I had (Honest Favorites, Happy Upvotes, and Most Wonderful Stories) were a little too full. So I decided to break it down into several genres.
Then I started reading Jinglemas stories around the end of December. And then I got a sudden craving for Anon-a-Miss stories. So I created two new bookshelves for those! I decided to arrange the bookshelves by color, for aesthetic. The genre bookshelves have the colors of their tags.
Here’s a breakdown of my new shelves.
Tracked - Those are the incomplete stories that I’m following. Pretty self-explanatory.
Special shout-out: The Albinocorn’s Spectacular Seven and FanOfMostEverything’s Space Time-Out.
Favorite Adventures - Adventure isn’t really something I read often, but every once in a while, I’ll find something I truly enjoy.
Special shout-out: TwiShine45’s The Princess’ Library and Rambling Writer’s The Amulet Job.
Favorite SoL - Now that’s a genre I really like. But honestly, these are just for the stories where no other genre would fit. This shelf mostly contains short, sweet fluff. And the occasional tear.
Special shout-out: sonicfan05’s ”My Office. NOW!” and ArgonMatrix’s Friendship Bewitched.
Heartstrings - How do I describe this shelf? It’s those stories that just pulled at my heartstrings. Where I had to stop and think, ‘Wow. What a work of art.’ These stories are just on another level and were created by the next generation of literary geniuses.
Special shout-out: Monochromatic’s The Choices We Make, Minty Sundae’s Paroled and _NAME_’s A Day in the Life of Average Statistic.
Favorite Tear-jerkers: - Most, if not all, the stories in this shelf have made me shed a tear. Some have even made stop so I could bawl my eyes out.
Special shout-out: TCC56’s Tender Loving Care and n3k1dsk1llz’s The Last Party.
Best of Jinglemas - A completely new shelf, created just last week. With the influx of holiday stories thanks to Christmas and Jinglemas 2021, I wanted to compile my favorites here.
Special shout-out: GaPJaxie’s Twilight and Spike Hide a Body and Aragon’s Friendly Fire.
Favorite Mysteries - I’m always on the hunt for a good mystery. Don’t know what it is about the genre, but I just love detectives and clues and investigations and crime-solving and thrillers... You get the idea.
Special shout-out: Dewdrops on the Grass’ Danganronpa: In Harmony’s Wake and RB_’s Who-dunce-it?
Favorite Dramas - So this is a genre l find myself liking more and more, with each read story. Slowly starting to become a favorite.
Special shout-out: Bookish Delight’s In Your Corner and deapansnarker’s A Mother’s ‘Love’.
Contributions - Ever since I created my account, I made it clear that I was willing to help out anyone who asked for it. I mostly draw cover arts, but I also dab in the occasional editing.
Special shout-out: Element of Malice’s It’s NOT CoNtAgIoUs! (cover art) and Gifts from a friend (editing).
Favorite Romances - Ah, love. An indescribable feeling, really. I never thought I’d like romance as much as I do, but I really like romance. Nailing a love story is hard, but if you do it well, it’s totally rewarding.
Special shout-out: CommissarAJ’s The Memories We Share and FoolAmongTheStars’s For Better or For Worse.
New Rainbooms - This bookshelf is exclusively mine. Two years ago, in May 2020, I wrote my first story, a one-shot. And then in March 2021, I wrote a second one-shot. And that’s when I realized those two stories have one thing in common. So I decided to create a continuity.
Stories in this series (so far): Uz Naimat’s How to Host a Party and Pinkie’s Pies.
- Later - Also self-explanatory. This is my to-be-read-later list. The goal is to have as little stories in there as possible. You’ll notice that most of the time, it’ll be at zero. As it should be.
Best of Anon-a-Miss - My newest shelf, created today. Let’s all face the simple truth: whether you like the comic or not, Anon-a-miss is a genre in and of itself. It didn’t feel fair to put the stories in any other shelf, so this one was born.
Special shout-out: SamRose’s Role Reversal and Wanderer D’s ”Anon-a-Miss” Kills Her Accusers.
Favorite Comedies - By and large my favorite genre. Comedy and humor is what I live for. Words cannot describe how much I adore this genre. (You can still imagine, given the 64 stories in the shelf.)
Special shout-out: Coroner the lesser’s You’ve Got Debt, Rambling Writer’s Best Hell Ever, InsertAuthorHere’s A Taste of Meat and Aragon’s A Hell of a Time.
