Chapter 3 Complete and a Progress Update! · 2:40am Dec 29th, 2021
Chapter 3 of Victory: Premonitions is out! So far I've stuck to an every-other-day cadence with these releases that I really like. This chapter saw a lot of special attention in the editing process to correct for run-ons. This was the result of some specific feedback I got from the first two chapters. I may still go back and make edits to Chapters 1 & 2 to correct for this before posting Chapter 4. Behind the scenes, I completed work on Chapter 6 and have everything through to the conclusion of the story written out. The remaining chapters will need some small revisions to account for the way the story has evolved, but one of the biggest changes that finishing this has brought about is a reduction in the story's overall rating from Mature to Teen.
When this story started, I didn't really know what direction this tale was going to take. I initially didn't want to totally eliminate the possibility that it might land up a little heavier than intended, so I went intentionally high on the rating scale to give myself some breathing-room just in case. After finishing Chapter 6, I think it's safe to say there isn't any situation here that flies completely off of the deep end. This also comes hand-in-hand with the addition of the profanity tag, as Chapter 3 is the first chapter to incur the need for it.
