Hey everyone, sorry about the silence lately. I got some major changes happening that’s been taking up a lot of my time lately.
First off, I’m currently in talks with a friend to move to a new city and start renting with them. This is, as you might imagine, a pretty big change from how my life is now so it’s been something that I’ve been pouring a lot of myself into.
Besides that I’ve been preparing for holiday season at work and planning a large family trip, PLUS helping with a wedding. Apparently 221 decided to make up for 2020 being so light with social/personal events by dumping it all on at once! Haha!
Thankfully I have been writing small sections and thinking about how I want to expand things on the Equestrian side of the story. I know a lot of folks were interested to see how the Royal Guard were going to come into play, and I agree that it’s time to start showing why that tag is here. This next chapter will expand on how the guard function in a society as relatively peaceful as that presented in the show while trying to flesh them out as a an armed fighting force with different branches and Special units/divisions.
I’m doing a lot of research on this end to try and make sure I present them in a way that makes sense and is easy to understand. So while I won’t go into the absolute tiniest details regarding the Guard, I do want enough to make them feel like a more important part to the society they love in besides being Canterlot Castles golden clad window dressings.
Not exact ETA this time, since I want to be honest about how busy things are for me currently. Just know that I have not forgotten about this story and am actively trying to keep it going while also taking care of my life affairs first and foremost.
I know that’s not exactly the best update to hear, but I thought I should keep you all in the loop. As always feel free to ask questions or discuss anything about the story, characters or even universes of both MLP Gen4 and Destiny if you wish, I’ll always try to respond when I can!
