Halloween Jack O’ Lantern, update

Ok, here’s the results of the contest I was in. The good news is that it won in its division (boys 17+), though not the overall contest. The bad news is that somebody brought a “Texas A&M” pumpkin that got attacked by mold, which spread to my jack o’lantern. The instructors had to toss them. Dang Aggie pumpkin! I guess we now know who Nightmare Moon’s true enemies were all along. Not to worry, they photographed it when I brought it in, so they’ll display that instead. My prize is free admittance to their fall festival. That should be fun!
As for my story, I’m still on it. It’s turning out to be a lot harder to write than I expected. I’m hoping to have a chapter up by Christmas.
