So, you know when you have two characters and you plan for them to have a conversation. In this conversation you plan for it to go in a certain direction with specific things being brought up. Then you actually write out that conversation. The two character's personalities are finally taken into account and then their talk goes in the complete opposite direction with all your plans being thrown out the window and there's nothing you can do about it because that's just how the characters are. Fffffffff Clout, stop being an asshole and work with me here! I think I figured out why the last chapter was so stinking long. With the last chapter having only three planned points (Get the gear back, see the Flim Flam show and go to Merchant) and it becoming a nightmare anyway, I decided on only two things this time. Go talk to Wulf and do the thing. They haven't talked to Wulf yet and I'm already at 20 pages (8,103 words)! Guys, work with me here!!! I cannot express how frustrating my characters are, I created them and I can't even control them TToTT At least the chapter is progressing I guess. I think 'Do the thing' is going to have to be its own separate chapter and this one will consist of literally only 'Go talk to Wulf'. I also have to keep reminding myself it's like, 3am at this writing point in the story and people are sleeping. They can't just go talk to him asap. That might also be why I'm having them hesitate. Still, I hate dragging things out. Sorry guys, this is exactly why I don't set release dates or promised dates when chapters will come out. At least I give you updates saying it's progressing.
