My TV Show Rating Score:

2/5: It’s bad but not awful
1/5: Look, up in the sky! It’s super bad!
0/5: MY EYEEEESSS!!!

Greetings, everyone. Here is my review of one of Butch Hartman’s most popular cartoons and one of the most iconic cartoon shows from Nickelodeon: The Fairly OddParents. Before I jump into what I honestly think of the show, I do have a confession to make. First of all, I actually grew up watching this show. This used to be one of my favorite cartoon shows while growing up, and I thought it was really entertaining when I was a kid. Right next to T.U.F.F Puppy, this was yet another Butch Hartman show I enjoyed watching over and over.

But then again, that time of enjoyment was my childhood. As the years went by, I started to slowly lose all love and appreciation for the series and eventually stopped watching it. The more I grew older, the more I started to think a little more critically of the show. As I looked back at the characters, the humor, the concept, the episodes, everything therein, I gradually started to detest the series and hate these characters.

Now, as an adult, as I am once again reflecting back on the series, I can honestly say that I hate this show with a passion. Even though it is not Teen Titans Go! levels of horrible, it is still pretty bad in my opinion. Here is what I think of some of the main characters:

Timmy Turner is really annoying, unbearable, and downright cringeworthy. I don’t even like the very concept of a ten-year-old kid having fairies (or fairy godparents... UGH!) that grant him every wish that he desires. Not to mention that Cosmo is one of the most irritating and idiotic characters I’ve ever seen in cartoon history. Oh, and, if you ask me, isn’t it strange that you often see the father/husband often being the one who is stupid or lazy while the wife/mother is always the one who is in control and always perfect? I think you guys know where I’m going with this.

Do NOT get me started with Timmy’s parents. They are equally neglectful, selfish ignoramuses who always let a cruel babysitter to watch over their own child while they go off to do their own business. What the fuck is wrong with these dumbasses?! There are some people who should not be parents, and these idiots are clear examples of such a people. Also, they are likewise incredibly annoying and unbearable to watch.
No offense to Daran Norris who voiced Timmy’s dad, Cosmo, Jorgen Von Strangle, and some other characters, but gosh, his characters were so annoying.

While I liked the fact these animators gave their best effort in creating such wonderful “Butch Hartman” style animation and this show having an awesome cast of highly talented voice actors/actresses, this show is bombarded with cringe humor, dumb characters, unappealing plots, and overall terrible execution of these ridiculous concepts.

Tara Strong and Grey Griffen are some of my favorite voice actresses of all time, but their respective roles as Timmy and Vicky are some of my least favorite roles featuring them. I won’t deny that Timmy Turner is one of Tara’s most iconic cartoon roles though. I like her more as Raven, Bubbles, Twilight Sparkle, Batgirl, and more. I just don’t enjoy this show anymore as I used to years ago.

This gets a straight-up 1/5: fairly annoying. This is just my opinion, so no offense to those who actually enjoy the show. Props to you all.

Peace out.

None taken, mi amigo payaso.

None taken, I enjoy the show, but season nine is really where it went downhill, Sparky was a horrible character, and replacing him with Chloe was even worse

As a matter of fact, my parents and I have often viewed this as an attack on heterosexual families in general. Particularly towards the fathers.

It also openly seems to be a sign of discrimination towards men.

One thing I always wondered, the fairy doctor, Dr. Rip Studwell, there's just so much stuff about him that makes it seem like he didn't actually go to medical school. A doctor who cares more about his own appearance than he cares about the ill would not be a good doctor. Juandisimo is no better, but at the best, he doesn't have a job where he shows signs of his appearance being more important than his job.

Her role as Twilight Sparkle is one of my favorite Tara Strong-roles too.

I can’t remember what many of the others are at the moment, but one non-MLP role that’s been coming to my mind the most right now was her work as Ashi in Season 5 of “Samurai Jack”.
