I was watching The Pirate Fairy today and this line struck me. Sometimes it really does only take a small catalyst to have a big effect on your life. To turn a hobby into an obsession, a mild dislike into a hate, or a friend into a love.
Anyway, enough philosophical thoughts. Zarina is awesome. She's the fairy equivalent of Sunset Shimmer, but she's a pirate.
I wrote a fairy tale. I used a story someone told me, gave it a moral, and fit it to something called Propp's 31 functions. I added it to my "Spike's Poem Anthology" so you could read it again there. It's not really MLP but I still wanted to share it so, here you go:

As a kid I used to love those things, I had Fairy wallpaper, I had a Fairy Garden and even one of those wind up Fairy toys!
That I promptly smacked my sister upside the head with...and my mom!
Maybe even broke a window…
But that aside, I was a total fairy dork.
And oh god, I guess that means the Fairy Odd Parents are what sonic ( games) is now :(
So I was going through my day when suddenly I recalled something I read a while ago and it refuses to get out of my head. The General gist of the story was as follows:
There once was a kingdom that was plagued by a race of mist/fog-like beings (Fairies?) whenever the sun would go down.
The only thing that could ward them off were a special type of tree, so the king of the country surrounded his castle with them.
Stupid idea fairy hit me with an idea stick, and so this will probably be the next new story that I write, with the exception of maybe a super-short speedwrite here and there. I finally figured out just what Sunset Shimmer's deal is, and it actually ties in absurdly well with the themes of what I thought would be my current project, Iteration, and will be in the same continuity, but set in the EqG world before the

So, I wrote Guardians of the Evolutions (I'm actually proud of the first chapter this time) and posted it.
However, it failed moderation.
They said it wasn't related enough to MLP.
The violin is not my favorite instrument, I do enjoy listening to it.

Hey, did you know I write non-pony things?
Like, actual original writing. Not other fandoms (I used to, but my Final Fantasy and MegaMan stuff ended years ago — although the ridiculous self-insert Final Fantasy 7/Final Fantasy 8/Dragonball Z/Sorcerer Hunters/Star Trek TNG/Kirby/(I forget the rest, but at least one scene involved the ghost of Bob Dole, who died in chapter one, attacking the heroes with a minigun) crossover lasted a surprisingly long time).
First and foremost, have a happy christmas everyone! I hope you get what you want!
Second, my next fic will be a Pokémon/MLP Crossover where Equestria is a region in the pokemon world. Fairy and Spike will be traveling through the region of Equus (Equestria is too much of a mouthfull). I'm already writing the first chapter.
