Very Important Update · 1:09am Aug 25th, 2021
So hello again. I wish this were a good update, but it's not. As some of you may have noticed, I left a bit of a brief update explaining my absence. And while normally, my long periods of silence are normally due to lack of motivation or inspiration for stories, or being distracted with gaming, tv, etc. I also get distracted by things that happen with my family. Some good, some bad, and as of last Friday possibly one of the worst days of my life. I don't know if I should talk about this, but I need to do something to help clear my mind.
My mom has developed breast cancer. It hit everyone especially me like a truck. She had gone in for her yearly mammogram and she was told she had a tumor. The only saving grace is they caught it extremely early meaning it's highly curable and it's not genetic meaning it wouldn't be passed on to my sister. However, the fact still remains that there is a tumor in my mother. These last few days, have been a harrowing ordeal, along with my first week back at in-person college my mind has barely any mind to rest or process anything. We're expecting the operation to remove it to happen in early September, but I honestly wished they would take it out now. However, I know little about how cancer works save for the fact that it gets worse the longer you leave it be. So I have to trust the doctors, I already lost one family member a few years back to cancer and I don't want to lose my mom. She's my whole world, I would fall apart without her. I'm praying to God that she gets through this and stays with us. I don't think I could handle watching her go through something like chemotherapy.
So, I don't think I'll be doing anything MLP wise for a while. Not until I can get my head straight and be in a comfortable place to write again. I'm going to do everything I can to help my mom, and the best I can do is to support her and focus on college as per her wishes. I hope you can all understand and thank you for all the support you've given my stories.
