I hope you all had a good week and were able to enjoy the new chapter. Exciting, wasn't it? I certainly had a good if stressful time writing it, and I can't wait to finish up that story sometime this fall. Don't worry if you haven't caught up yet; these blog posts will always be here so you know where to turn for the next update. That's one nice thing about the written word: even if you have to put it down and go make money or grades or food, it'll still be right where you left it, waiting for you.

The next story update in the Greatest Hits Writing Bonanza belongs to...
RAINBOW DASH: PRISONER OF WAR!
When Queen Chrysalis shows up with a new army and a grudge, Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts are called to serve on the front lines. During a recon mission, RD is injured, kidnapped, and taken to a changeling prison camp. There, she makes new friends among the prisoners and new enemies with the colonel, all while biding her time and devising an escape. Fortunately for her, Rainbow has allies both outside the walls--an unrelenting Spitfire--and inside... a sympathetic changeling guard.
This story is another one that I quite enjoy working on, and I hope you all enjoy it as well. I find it more challenging to write, given the pacing issues that can arise when the plot is locked into one setting for a while, but that just encourages me to keep things interesting. It's also fun to write a character seeing and going through so many tribulations but still remaining unbroken through it all. That little cyan pony is tough as nails!
