DON'T READ IF YOU'RE NOT CAUGHT UP WITH SEASON 2 OF THE OWL HOUSE UP TO EPISODE 8.
With that disclaimer, out of the way, I have to say season 2 has been blowing me away so far. It started off pretty strong, but when the 2nd episode came things really kicked into high gear. Pretty much every ep besides the premier, the Eda's mom ep, and the Hunter episode have been amazing. ESPECIALLY the Lumity stuff. I don't know if I've seen such a cute, well paced relationship, well, EVER. That might be a bold claim, but TOH really does excell on not padding out its storylines. Every episode these two have been in has progressed the ship in some way, especially this season. And now they're officially a couple! I have to give props to Disney, but more importantly Dana Terrace. This show's rep is just great. Not just Lumity, but Raine too! Before this show was sitting at 10th place in my fav TV shows ranking, but it's tentatively moved up to 6th at this point. It just keeps getting better and better.
I couldn't agree more. The episode took me totally by surprise and I'm so overjoyed that Lumity is official. Dana basically pulled a Rebecca Sugar (the synopsis is vague, but the episode is not what is expected to be) and I'm absolutely thrilled to see more of this awesome show.
King's echo blast and Eda's harpy form will surely be an advantage against Emperor Belos and without a doubt, there's going to be more lore and character development before the big battle finally happens.

You may have miscalculated. Season 2 has 21 episodes. 8 have been aired and the number of episodes left is 13.
