I was hoping to get the Epilogue for this story done by the end of last year. Obviously that didn't happen.
Various things occupied me during the start of this year, but I was hoping to get some more clarity on what I wanted from it. It got further delayed because I was uncertain about it, and as time went on I wondered if it would be able to "live up" to how long it had taken.
Then it got overtaken by events.
The original plan was that Sunset would use an alicorn-enhanced version of her mind-reading power to win a not-Starcraft tournament for the not-Starcraft rights. Of course, then this (content warning, allegations of sexual abuse and suicide) hits and anything involving them is a lot less funny.
So I'm just going to scrap that portion of the epilogue, and turn what's left into a much smaller one. I'll probably post what was left of the cut content in a blog.

Did the Hong Kong stuff and "you have a phone" happen before the pandemic? Time has kinda lost all meaning, but Blizzard was already mired in controversy and stupidity long before today.

Yes. I kept hoping they learned their lessons from those, but it turns out there was nothing left to save.
Don't worry about "living up" to the delay. It's ready when it's ready.
As for adjusting things given the news, that's entirely understandable.
