Short Opinion: The fandom, criticism, and communication. · 6:38pm Jul 13th, 2021
If you think I'm wrong, or wish to discuss or expand on something, please feel free to comment below.
I have seen some people talk about bad things in the fandom like it doesn't happen in other fandoms. I understand they are still... concerning, but this is far from "the decline" they seem to think it is. And people will use their creative freedom to do what they want.
Also...
We need to make sure the criticism we are giving is constructive and said in a way that won't make the artist in question shut down and block out criticism in general.
HOWEVER, some people take things too seriously and/or too personally and make that difficult. They then lash out and make it seem like they are... ok, so... I remember when I was bullied I would lash out in a way that made it seem like I was the problem. This made it difficult for most people to like me. I even had my vice-principal call me a criminal because I said "I'm gonna brain you"... quoting "catch that kid" a KIDS MOVIE... I got SO LOW in the eyes of others even the slightest thing would make me seem worse...
So please be aware not only of WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. But understand some people will take it the wrong way regardless. I'm done beating myself up over it.

Block me once because I said something in a way I didn't intend, shame on me, please unblock so we can try again.
Block me a second time because you are emotional and don't want to hear me trying to help, shame on you, we can still try again.
