Story Idea? · 3:06pm May 27th, 2021
Had a crazy dream last night. I was a giant semi-bipedal rabbit, like 8-feet tall, with arms that hung to my ankles, stalking through a dark forest for some food. I ended up stumbling upon some kid, no older than 7 or 8, in a bear onesie grieving over the corpses of what I assumed to be their parents who were horribly mutilated. Then the kid just looks at me and hugs my leg while crying, and I'm like "Guess I have to look after them now." Then, all of a sudden my ears started twitching like crazy, and there's rapid movement all around us in the brush. So, I pick the kid up in my arms and begin running﹣more like hopping low to the ground﹣really fast while leaning forward, through the forest. Somewhere along the line, I got slashed across the back but this only made me move faster out of desperation. After getting an acceptable distance away, I noticed myself getting tired, so I searched for a place to put the kid so that I could defend myself. I find a cave just small enough for them to fit and put them inside, gesturing to them to be quiet with a...fluffy finger?
Anyway, I turn around and see multiple malnourished gangly creatures coming out from behind the trees wearing the skulls of various animals on their heads. For some reason, I felt like I hated these things, and they hated me. But before we could start fighting, the sun started rising, causing those things to retreat deep into the woods. I go back to the kid and station myself outside the cave, watching the forest intently and listening for any sound. After like an hour, I coax the kid out of the cave and start taking them through the forest on my back. The kid sees I’m bleeding so they somehow heal my wound, but I don’t question it. Then that’s where the dream ends.

In all seriousness that sounds like a interesting dream and if you do it right a cool story idea, but then again how you would weave the backstory sounds like a pain in the ass to do, and the explanation for the reason the giant rabbit even exists would be problematic.
I wish I had cool dreams.

The Giant Rabbit could be a Forest Spirit/Guardian that protects it (the forest) and anyone who enters it from harm. the skull creatures, could be malicious spirits summoned by either Bad Magic (and by Bad I dont mean Evil I mean Magic thats just not quite right) Or maybe someone or something just summoned em.
That sounds like it'd be a fantastic Klonoa fanfic! (y'know, door to Phantomile? Lunatea's veil?) Anyway, he could find a lost filly in the Everfree maybe?
I don't think this site has any Klonoa fanfics yet! So I think it'd make a good first!
