I got this thought in my head that just doesn’t go away. It’s a funny headcanon where Pharynx just, doesn’t feel physically pain, or at least not to the extent most people would.
Like, if you break your arm, it hurts a lot because your bones are covered in nerves and those nerves send pain signals to your brain. It why it hurts.
Pharynx just, doesn’t have these. Like he could snap his leg in half and the most reaction your are going to get from him is a “oh god dammit” or something similar.
I think it’s hilarious, because I can see everyone else’s reaction to be normal, like normal things like cry, be in pain, curse, whatever. And then we have harden war veteran here be like “tis but a scratch.”
So... zombie?
Ooh, I like that idea!

There’s actually a disorder that does that (like, makes pain less... painful.) I believe. So yes, this head canon is physically possible

Yep
I can't help but think of the apocryphal tale of Lord Uxbridge. "By God, sir, I've lost a leg!"
I was actually thinking of something similar earlier today. Odd coincidence, that. It does make sense for Pharynx to have such a condition though, especially since his sweethearted cinnamon roll of a kid brother is obviously the sort who would keep him from hurting himself too bad because of said condition. And/or help him heal off his injuries, depending on your headcanon concerning shared love between changelings.
