MLP Design Ideas! Gimmie!! · 4:57pm May 17th, 2021
For context, I have been on a build high recently with The Sims 4 and somehow it had never occurred to me to make specific rooms inspired by My Little Pony (any generation)! I need inspiration and ideas! Here's some (kinda bad photo quality, but I play on PS4 so...) examples of some recent rooms I've done:
A Baby Nursery
A Toddler bedroom
A Bo-Ho Bedroom (any age post toddler)
As you can see, these had no specific theme, yet the inspiration hit differently with each room I've built. I'd show this compact country kitchen I did, but I forgot to take a picture. Yet no matter what, I have yet to see a My Little Pony inspired room of any sort on the Gallery that isn't MASSIVE. Please help me with inspiration?!?

Hmm thats actually a toughy. How about a Canterlot and Luna room, Or a Discord room like his house in the show? Or Twilights castle made of crystal. (Dont know what you need to do that.) And Twilight’s Library as well.

Okay because of some of the limitations that entail (only 4 floors going up or down, above street level and below. Also depending on what size lot. As small as 20x15 or as big as 64x64. Plus there's cheats to consider. I can use the standard cheats...so long as the save file I'm in, I specifically said will require cheats), I can see me doing a Princesses of Equestria inspired bedrooms or even houses. I had houses inspired by each of the mane six on the gallery at one point, but my system got corrupted and I was unable to recover them. However there's another issue. Finding the right materials. Now I have all current Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs and Kits (excluding the newest kit, but that is because it doesn't release until tomorrow) that are available. Artwork is hard to find and even more tedious to search for No Custom Content artwork (bc I'm on PS4 and console can't support any CC or Mods for The Sims 4). However, I can see me attempting something close to what I can think of would be an appropriate adaptation for inspiration.

I have the sims for the ps4 but none of the expansions. I fiddled around with the game off and on from time to time.

Understandable. I was that way when I first got the game back in summer '19. I didn't have any DLC until October of that year, yet I attempted to flex my building skills a few times (never shared to my library). It was jarring at first with the controls and the build/buy mode, yet it takes practice. Now it's '21 and I feel like I could work out a basic houseplan in my sleep.

It'd be worth it (debatable on whether or not you'd be willing to pay for any DlC but be forewarned once you buy one pack....you'll be drivin to buy more and more).
