Free MLP parody and Pony POV story ideas

I had an amusing idea for a MLP parody.

Aliens made of energy cubes declare war on Ponykind, believing them to be hostile after seeing what they do to 'their own kind'.

And they attack and look like classic arcade games.

Thus it's up to Button Mash of all ponies to save the world from the alien invaders.

Basically the plot of Pixels, but without internet reviewers talking about the actors in it every three seconds. (Seriously, I find that annoying.) Pixels was not considered a good movie. But I think the basic premise could be fun as a "Button Mash saves the day." type story.

As a sub idea for my own Pony POV Series setting... I can imagine as a bit of black comedy, that before Equestria was blasted back to the middle ages, it turns out somepony DID save some technology that was backwards engineered and replicated to run on magic ... classic arcade games (explaining their existence in Equestria). Possibly by a pair of long bearded new-age-retro-hippies or something... This idea being basically a black comedy drabble.
