Gun Control or ACAB, you can't have both

Having both of them is an antithetical position, so pick one.

It's either A: Enforce excessive gun control laws with putting faith in the police to "protect citizens", that acts on behalf of the state, or B: Get rid of the police and they won't be able to enforce gun control, but you'll have militias and they won't enforce it, because they need them.

But here's an idea for an alternative for policing:
1. Eliminate Gun Control
2. Nationwide Stand your Ground Castle Doctrine
3. Restore self-defense to its proper role, and let people sort it out themselves.

Both are Bad.

Law and Order isn't bad, people being protected by the government isn't bad either. The issue is the police don't do that and have never done that. The police exist to protect the interests of the capital-owning class first and foremost. They have no duty to protect and serve. And they certainly aren't going to enforce laws that the 'good ol boys' disagree with.

The police are not a private military that protect the highest bidder. They are a constabulary force designated to protect the every man under the laws of the land. Protect and Serve they do as well as it is their motto, and along sode the sheriff's of the counties provide a line of protection before self defense is needed.
