Thought and opinon from G4 to G5

Before I start I would like to point out that I have only started out with G4 of MLP and have not watched the previous generations or iterations so I have no clue/idea on how the reworked the story from G3 to G4 (ie. maybe reboot, maybe set in the future or etc).

When I first started getting interested in MLP: FIM it was already quite way into its later season (season 7), and only later did I realize that there was a whole fanfic group about it (during MLP season 8). And over the span of that time, I was deeply interested into the show; binge-watching the entire series before its season finale, though I never would call myself a brony, it was a good show. Thus when G4 had ended I was sad, then when G5 was announced of being in production I was intrigued, wondering on how they will take the story that G4 had setup.

Then more news was being announced 'it would be in 3D', 'it will be drawn by those that had drawn G4 base art', a new movie to initiate the story' and etc, got me excited for it. However, it was then overwhelmed with hearthache when the plot was leaked. It's not that I hate the art, the new characters (yet, will be seen in the movie), or the 'set in the future' kind of thing, rather the greatest pain I felt was when all the work Twilight had done, all the work that the elements of harmony had achieved, were just washed down like. Forgotten, as the tribes separated from one another as if it were the pre-unification era.

This doesn't mean that I hate the idea of the tribe being separated, rather it might make a great story of done correctly. It is just heart-wrenching when you see ALL the hard work that EVERYCREATURE had done through all the trials and tribulations, especially the work done by the characters that we know and love were just dropped, forgotten as if they were just trash kicked to the curb on the road. I just, have no words to describe the pain I feel when I think of this. I comprehend the idea of a reboot, a setting in the future, or even a total remake, but just a future where ALL the WORK that was useless is just painful.

I will watch the movie, to get into the new show, learn about all the new main characters and widen the lore of My Little Pony. Might like, might not who knows. However, if there is NO EXPLANATION on how these separations were caused or if the explanation was just half-baked, I would just do something unimaginable.
