It was supposed to be DARKER?!?! · 3:21pm Feb 16th, 2021
I just discovered something interesting during my research for the 2017 MLP Movie and it's pretty shocking...
To me, at least. I bet all of you already knew this:
The Storm King would've resembled a cross between a four-eyed dragon and a wolf.
Klugetown had the land built around a colossal dragon skeleton impaled on a sharp mountain peak.
Capper started out as a fox named Mendax with a sentient scorpion's tail.
Captain Celaeno and her crew would've been straight-up villains that redeemed by the end.
Tempest was gonna be more AGGRESSIVE. 😱
Anyways, history vid coming either later today or early tomorrow.
Damn. Not sure what else to say.
5455154 I can see why they toned it down, not exactly fitting for a kids movie...

But petrifying and shattering the Storm King is?
Maybe it started as one of the writers’ fanfictions?
5455163
Eh, doubt it, lol
I like that concept about Celano and her crew being villains who reformed by the end of the film.

If the character didn't show pain, then that's okay. Plus, they're not Disney.

Still, it's pretty dark for MLP standards, XD
5455174
Yeah, it's pretty dark.
5455162 I think they were stuck for an ending or something
Thanks for the information! i did not know any of this
Huh, didn't know that,
That would have been pretty cool, I must admit, but then again they have to make it kid-friendly. Also, I like less-aggressive Tempest. Rather than showing her emotions, she is cold and quiet with her anger, and that makes it more awesome when she goes into MLP Battle Mode.

That's what her actress Emily Blunt said, XD
Calm and reserved is more intimidating.

They killed sombra, twice. They repeatedly freeze people in stone for what they hope is forever. These ponies can kill when pressed. The Storm King was manslaughter at worst. It's fine.
