Welp, if you were wondering why this investigation seemed shorter than the others, surprise! I got you a second victim! 
I’ve been looking forward to people’s reactions over this for a long while now, because no one will expect it. I know a few of my readers will be especially sad, since Flash is a Good Boi and losing him is sad, but, story needs as story must.
Of course I can’t go into any real details yet. As usual I want to keep those till the chapter has finished. I will be posting the second half of the investigation on Saturday, then part one of the trial on Tuesday. At least that’s the current plan. We’ll see if your mercurial impatient author decides she wants you to have it sooner. All dependent upon that mental roll of the dice.
Chapter Six Progress: I have finished part three, which is the second part of the trial, and a part I’ve been looking forward to writing for a very, very long time now. So far each part of Chapter Six is over 10K words long, so like any DR Chapter Six it’s pretty big, meaty chunks to sink your teeth into. If I could’ve broken them up into smaller pieces, I would, but each part ends at a natural conclusion point. You’ll see what I mean when we get to that point in the posting.
So that just leaves a few more parts to go before the story is complete. I’m both very excited to finish the story… and feel a strong sense of trepidation. Like, once I do finish it, what will I do next? I know I have plans for shorts and other things, but I might end up itching to do a longer story project sooner than I originally anticipated. Will that involve a sequel to this story? Not necessarily. I’ve got a few ideas in the works that might be pretty fun, such as one of those classic "Sunset Shimmer's life goes a different direction when she crosses the portal." It involves her becoming a criminal, with a plot similar in style to a GTA game or other similar organized crime stories, but without any sort of actual crossover elements, so as to have some wider appeal. I've enjoyed writing this obscure little crossover, but I'd also like to make stuff more people can enjoy.
