Push to 1000, S8 Eve, Senior Project, a preview, and more! AKA, an update. · 4:35pm Jan 30th, 2021
I feel like I say something is coming soon a lot, and then nothing comes ... ever ... so, that's an issue.
But fear not, people who somehow still subscribe to me! Though, do be afraid of this lengthy thing I typed and posted on my phone...
***
In Apex, my goal is to hit 1,000 kills this season (for only the second time ever) and finish with a KD spread of 0.84 (I'm at 0.83), and my previous top two highs were... 0.76 and 0.58. I really don't play FPS games outside of this and now I'm actually doing good! Or starting to get good. Consequently, I have been toying with a Sunset Joins the Apex Games story, but the lore behind it... I'm still unsure about.
Anyway, once I hit 1,000 kills, I'll be focused solely on homework writing! I'm at 945 now. With Season 7 ending Tuesday, and the progress I'm making today, I could finish as early as... today.
I will say this, my senior project may be the best thing to happen to my creative writing. The concept behind it, Fractal Flames and the Chaos Game, look stunning, but the math behind it is very complicated and the coding is beyond anything I've ever nightmared. Consequently, whenever I start working on that, I flip over to Sunset's writings!
In doing so, I've edited all of section 1 of Lost, rewrote all of section 2 of Lost, and even got a decent jump on section 3 of Lost. Once I finish the first draft of section 3, and edit section 2, I'll start posting it... I even found a cool cover art image for it. Each chapter is only between 4 - 800 words (literally just 4 words long), but so far the story is approaching 20k in length. So a decent size. Anyway, at the end of this, I think I'll even post the first chapter of the first subsection for the first section. A nice little preview, yeah?
Additionally, I've also started editing the BnHA collab fic I'm doing with an awesome friend who somehow manages to put up with my stupidity! The first chapters have been edited / rewritten, but I may edit it some more, and the next three chapters are on my uh... desk? bed? phone? computer? thing. So, that's coming along.
I may put FireWater in the ideation story, fwiw. I'm back and forth on working that.
Yu Yu Hakusho is stuck due to my own paranoia of, no matter what I write, it just isn't good enough. So, that's kinda dead in the water for now.
I hate poetry, and have missed my first HW poem for the first time since I have started that track, which is about 20 weeks now? Wild. Writer's block sucks.
Browns' season may be over, and I'm still depressed about that, but the Cavs' and Blue Jackets' seasons are in full swing. I can't watch the games though, so... sad face.
And now, time for a preview! That may still be touched up.
I groaned. It wasn’t the most… gracious way to wake up, but it was the first thing I did. I slid my hand across my face and wiped away the crust that had formed in between my eyes while I slept. After a few sluggish breaths, I carefully forced my eyes open and sat up.
It was dark. Not a 'vast emptiness of space' type of dark, but a cloudy midnight type of dark. I moved my head around; clammy salty hair slapped the side of my shoulders while my neck gave off a few audible pops. The smell of ocean water filled the damp, but spacious area that I found myself in. I pressed my hands down on the slick stone and forced myself to stand.
I took a step for- no, I stumbled forward. Everything felt slightly off. My legs felt longer, I felt taller, thicker, and everything was just a tiny bit off. My body moved like it was new, yet familiar, like I had been waking up from a five year coma without the muscle degeneration. I lumbered forward. The thunderous echoes of my feet erased the faint echoes of droplets that fell from the ceiling. Nevertheless, I forced myself forward. Step by step, left then right.
And that's all folks! I think. Maybe...
As always feel free to comment or message me whenever!
Au Revoir!
P.S... I wish I could buy a PS5 for some reason, and invested in Gamestop 7 days ago.
