A Bit of an Update · 11:58pm Feb 16th, 2012
Hey, readers. I'm sorry that this chapter is taking so long. It hasn't been going terribly smoothly to be honest. This is a pretty important chapter to the story and I'm trying really hard to make sure that it ends the way I want it. Despite the wait, I expect chapter 4 to be relatively short, in the neighborhood of 1.5-2k words. But remember, its important :P
The main reason that I'm making this post is that I'm going to be away for the weekend and I most likely won't get a chance to write until late Sunday or Monday. I'm going to see what I can do tonight to get it as close to finished as possible. Hopefully then I can finish it up when I get back and get it posted for you in the neighborhood of Tuesday or Wednesday; no promises though.
Also, after this chapter I think that I'm going to make some revisions to the first two chapters of the story. The first chapter especially has some problems with the dialogue and Twilight's thought processes. I'll probably end up rewriting that chapter completely and there will also be some changes to chapter 2, especially the ending. So, because I'm going to do these revisions, chapter 5 will probably take a while again, but I'll try my best to keep the wait no longer than the current gap between 3 and 4. The good news though is that I'm probably going to submit this story to Equestria Daily once I get everything ship-shape with the first two chapters. It's one of my dreams as a writer to get featured on EqD so that would be majorly awesome if it works out.
So, I'll keep you guys updated with the revisions, probably with another blog post. Apparently this post is supposed to go to everyone tracking Unfinished Business, but I'm not sure if I expect that to work. After all, I don't think I've ever been notified of a blog post from an author that I'm not specifically following. So yeah, I'll keep in touch about the revisions and how the submission goes. Hopefully I can get chapters 4 and 5 to you guys in a reasonable amount of time.
Thanks again for reading, and feel free to contact me about anything you want to. I read every comment, squee at every new tracker, and answer every pm that I get. You readers help make writing this story a joy for me.
Until Next Time,
Fission
