Requests Closed & January 25th Plans. · 9:42pm Jan 1st, 2021
First off, I'm well aware that I promised to have a drawing ready for you all to witness, but life got in the way and I was unable to do so. However, as January 5th is approaching, where I will announce my plans for animation as a whole, I will try my best to adhere to these rules I've imposed onto myself for the benefit of myself and to increase my level of productivity. And as I have said, today will be the day requests are closed for the month, and people will have to wait until January 25th to get any requests from me.
Sidenote: I'm well aware that I have yet to amass a following for me to expect anyone to request a story for me, but as I've said in my original post, my system of requests are more or less a pseudo-business practice for myself and I wouldn't feel right asking for money from others when I myself am not confident in providing a product within a window of time that pleases the client. And request are the best way to do this, and I will stay true to my word and continue doing this until i feel ready to start commissions.
Without further ado, let's talk of the stories I plan to work on for the month of January.
Equestria Girls: The Outside World
This is a special story to me, for while most other stories are products of my own imagination, this one is different. Take a gander into the description and you'll see that this story was birthed from a forum thread talking about MLP Movie Characters within the EQG Universe. And while I'm sure that there are many stories out there with MLP Movie Characters within the EQG Universe, this was one of the first few that I saw following the movie's release. And even if that's not the case, I'm still rather invested in this story as the ideas expressed in that forum thread are great and I would love to see them come into fruition, and since I was the one to take up the idea to write it into a story, I feel as if I should if for no other reason than I volunteered.
More than that, however, this just a damn good story idea, and I would like to expand it more. And as with every other story that I will work on for the foreseeable future, this will be rewritten from the ground up with some of the same ideas and concepts still in use, only realized in a better and more concise manner. And while I did make mentions of magical powers in this world, it's going to be largely different from the original show and most of the magic won't go beyond typical school brawls and maybe even sports events, and it will be a lot more widespread than a secretive thing. This will work in my benefit as one of the major plotpoints is that King Sombra uses dark magic, and I would like to set it up as something that's rather unusual in a world of magic.
Also, I've wanted to add an element of Vore to the entire thing as I love Vore, but I'll refrain from doing so as Vore wasn't in the original idea for this story and I would feel bad for including an element not many would find interesting, especially since I'm pretty sure the person who started both threads isn't into it. But since I already have a story with a similar enough idea to this one on Fetish Account, I'm not too saddened by the fact. Quite perhaps I'll make a special Vore edition when the original iteration is finished.
Akira's Journal
As I've said last month, I wanted Akira's Journal to be the first story to return to on Fetish Account, but as I've said, the amount of revision I would have to do would be so much larger than any other story I've worked on before or after. But, there's no better time to start than now, so I will go into detail about the major changes made to the story.
Change #1: The World & Characters.
The first major change I will make to this story in particular is the world & characters. Firstly, the world will be no longer an alternate version of the EQG world, but rather, a merging of the EQG Universe and the MLP Universe. What this means is that the races and the magical elements of the MLP Universe will be merged with the EQG Universe, this means that characters that are canonically ponies will be anthropomorphic ponies in this AU and the same will be said for all the other characters. As for the history and lore of the world, it will mostly follow the canon MLP history and lore, with minor changes and tweakes made here and there, but those will be addressed when I get to those chapters in the story.
And as for the characters, the main character, who will be known as Akira Fujikawa from here on out, will be anthropomorphic animals, and in the case of Akira, he will be a Snow Leopard. Also, other characters such as his adopted family and the Dazzlings will have much more prominent roles. Other than that, details on characters will be revealed as I go along.
Change #2: The Pace and Start of the Story.
Like with One of a Kind & The Tape, as this story will contain an element of mystery, it will take on a slow burn type of feel. This means major story beats will be revealed in small snippets throughout the story, but will take a while to come into fruition as I want to practice foreshadowing and giving hints to readers as to what might happen. Another thing I would like to practice is having one day pass over the course of a couple of chapters rather than trying to cram one day into one chapter. This will help me to achieve this sort of slow-burn I'm aiming for and to help keep chapters focused on what they're meant to focus on and not fly from one subject to the other.
Also, the start of the story will be different, as instead of starting with Akira on his way to Canterlot University, the first few chapters will detail his life with his family before his departure. This is meant to give deeper insight into his family and personal life, and this is important for both him and the story as his family is very important to the story as a whole and I would love to give readers and myself an insight into what made him ponder on why he left. Trust me, this will all be important.
And with all that said, those are all the major changes I made to the story.
