Hey guys!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Now, I want to come on here and explain the exciting future of Aftermath, which has been fairly worked out, and still needs writing. Not saying there will be spoilers ahead in this blog, but if you must be on the safe side, stop reading here. The TL:DR is that the story has been thought out, and has been divided into 3 arcs, and I will stick to the line I have with my editor, which unfortunately I don't think I will be covering Rainbow Rocks and The Friendship Games since this story is entirely unique to it's own, and takes a completely different turn. So I'm sorry to those if that is what you were expecting, but I hope you will continue reading the story. Now onto the post.
My editor (FreeHomeBrew) and I have been working on the higher levels of the story and we have come up with a far more streamlined and organized way of working. The story now has been narrowed down to important points to resolve in stages so there will be a greater focus and less organic movement in a sort-of-but-not-really direction. From now on things will process along straight and narrow. And boy, let me tell you, we have found ways to make things both more interesting and exciting! So I hope that gives you something to look forward to!
The three arcs will each have about roughly 6 chapters. We have no idea on the word count, or how long the chapters will be, but the series of events and scenes we have got planned work out to be about 18 chapters. There are roughly 60 points in the first arc, so 10 per chapter is probably reasonable. Three arcs give 18 chapters. Ballpoint figures.
Potential spoilers ahead.
The first arc is called: “The Reformation Arc”, in which Luna, Sunset and Chrysalis will all undergo significant changes to make them much more compatible. They will come to see the errors of their ways so that the next arc can bring them back together, with a focus on a problem they have to overcome together.
This arc also introduces two original characters, who will be playing important roles in all three arcs. The focus will obviously remain on Luna, Chrysalis and Sunset. The new characters provide both support and setbacks in the first two arcs. The last arc is still fairly open ended. They can play a pivotal role there as well, though the set of setbacks will come from someplace new.
The second arc is called: “Luna’s Sacrifice”, in which Luna is to choose between two things she desires most. It’s a minor diversion from the previous way of how things have been done and have been going, since the focus will be more on a single character (though obviously not exclusively so). And I think here you’ll understand why I won't be choosing to do Rainbow Rocks, or the Friendships since Luna’s sacrifice is an important part and key point to move things forward.
The third arc is the conclusion of this story bearing the title: “Family”. There will be trouble in paradise to keep the story interesting to the end. This is the part that still needs more work. Anyway, I hope this clears some things up, and I hope you all will be excited about the upcoming chapters! I think the new chapter might be posted later today, or it will be tomorrow!

I'm fine with what your doing, its your story so if you'd like to give it a shot, show us what you got. And I can't wait to see those two characters, what the sacrifice will be and other stuff when the next chapter comes out. Hope everyone had a great christmas this year
Shimmering Sun by "Luna's Sacrifice". did you mean that she either has to give up:
A: Chrysalis and the relationship they had
B: Sunset and be with Chrysalis instead.
If you could please answer this question for me it would really help with the story/
I mean, seeing sunset so happy, comfortable, warm and safe around Luna and Chrysalis, considering them family, so happy and what Sunset deserves brings a tear of joy to my eyes.
But if Luna gives up Sunset then that means she may return to how she was.
But if she gives up Chrysalis then it will have a severe and drastic effect on Sunset's mental health.
