Since it's the holiday season, I will express my top 7 favorite holiday specials of MLP. I will not be including the comics since I haven't read most of them.

7. Equestria Girls: Holiday Unwrapped
- This special was mostly just shorts that involved the girls getting involved in antics involving the holiday season. It felt sort of disappointing that this was one of the last things we get from the Equestria Girls series before the whole MLP show was over.
6. Best Gift Ever Animated Shorts
- Just like EG: Holiday Unwrapped, it's made up of shorts involving ponies during the holiday season. I liked these shorts more than the shorts from Equestria Girls as I liked the Triple Pony Dare short.
5. Hearth's Warming Eve
- I thought this was an alright holiday episode that gives more lore to the MLP: FiM universe. It felt basic to me and I guess that was because this episode was in Season 2 when the show was getting more interesting.
4. The Hearth's Warming Club
- This episode was interesting as it tells how the other creatures celebrate the holiday season. I especially liked how the Changelings were celebrating Hearth's Warming as they hang a tree upside down and build a fire out of wood! I also felt sort of bad for Gallus as it reminds me that not everyone will feel merry during the holiday seasons. It isn't in my top 3 because I didn't like that Twilight was keeping the Young Six from returning home and possibly worrying the Young Six's families without their notice.
3. A Hearth's Warming Tail
- What I liked about this one is that it tells a story that was similar to Starlight's life story. Just like with Snowfall Frost, Starlight had a not-so-good past, an alright present, and a possible bad future if she uses magic to cause harm on something. I also liked the holiday names giving to the Mane Six when they were part of the story, specifically, Flutter Holly. The episode was alright to me because the story was a parody to A Christmas Carol, a Christmas story that sort of everyone knows.
2. Hearthbreakers
- I thought this episode is good as it expresses the moral of different ways to celebrate a certain holiday. The Pies may do things differently for Hearth's Warming, but it's very meaningful to them. I also liked that the episode finally introduced the Pie family besides small cameos. It was quite interesting to see Limestone and Marble Pie as they act completely different from Pinkie and Maud.
1. Best Gift Ever
- This special was very great because of many things. It really captures what most people experience when finding the perfect gifts for friends or family members. The part involving Holly the Hearth's Warmer doll reminded me of most of the best-selling toys that are usually sold during the holidays and it would make since that most companies would take advantage of people who are desperate of looking for the perfect gifts. I also liked the introduction of the Gift Givers of the Grove and enjoyed the interactions between the three deers. I was glad that Discord wasn't as bad in this special in contrast to how he was portrayed in Season 8. Although it was a little risky of Discord helping Rainbow getting the Winterchilla for Fluttershy and that Winterchilla transformed into a Winterzilla, at least he didn't cause chaos in such a terrible way. I felt sort of bad for Rarity as she ended up leaving her gift to Pistachio instead of Applejack. As much as I thought it was generous of Rarity to do that, she had to give up a well thought of gift because of a mistake from the postal services. This is probably what most people experience during the holidays. All in all, this episode had many elements that made it the best MLP holiday special to me.
