A cladogram is a diagram that shows the hypothetical relationships between species. I've had this idea in my head for a while, but I've finally decided to write it down. I've included races from the expanded universe as well, but I definitely haven't covered them all. Maybe I'll draw an illustrated version in the future.
- There is a lot of convergent evolution going on. In fact, sapience seems to have evolved independently many times over - the Everfree deer are people, but very similar-looking species of deer aren't.
- While kirin were once believed to be related to ponies due to their superficially similar proportions, they're now believed to be more closely related to deer due to their two-toed hooves and antler-like horns.
