It's a Slippery Slope · 3:31am Dec 3rd, 2020
Early this year (2020) my wife and I started watching MLP:FiM for the first time. We followed that with EG. We enjoyed them enough that we immediately started over at S01E01. If you're on this site, I probably don't need to explain why, you already get it.
In early August, I discovered Pony Creator (http://ponylumen.net/). I spent some time figuring out what the pony would look like, which included a lot of color research. But what about a cutie mark? That forced me to decide on his special talent so I could pick a suitable cutie mark. But then I also had to come up with a rough back-story to support those choices.
Developing the back-story led to a decision to give him a mate, and the whole process started over again. I had to design another pony with colors, special talent, cutie mark, and back-story. I added additional back-story for how they met, fell in love, and got married.
In short, I had two well developed character sheets. But now what? Perhaps I should write a story.
