So MLP:FiM premiered 10 years ago today. In two more days, it will have been a full year since it concluded.
This fandom has taken me to some wonderful places and caused some big problems in my life. Overall, it's been one hell of a positive experience that helped turn me away from the path of becoming a reprehensible asshole and helped me discover who I am and who I want to be. On the other hand, it also caused a lot of tension within my family because according to them, the fandom is a 'satanic cult' that is bent on corrupting me.
In the wise words of Shel Silverstein: Fuck 'em.
Even though this fandom is one hell of a weird way to spend my time, I love it. I truly do. Whether things are good or bad, I'm always happy for this little place where I can dip out of reality and just have a good time with people I care about. This community is something special, and I'm thankful for everything it has done for me. Thanks for being wonderful, people. Y'all mean the world to me. Here's to the next decade of horse antics :)
Ponies are cute and loveable and adorable and charming.
...
AND I'M GONNA SLAP THE SHIT OUT OF ALL THEIR LITTLE PONY TUMS. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
...
Yeah man, ponies are pretty cool.

That's 10 years. That's 10% of one century before you. How does it feel knowing that with every passing day, you keep aging? One day we will no longer have colorful ponies to keep us entertained, and whether the only apocalyptic reality we have to escape from is with virtual reality or whatever 90-year-old Jimmy Fallon can still mutter with his last breath on nightly television, just know that soon it will all be irrelevant.
All of this is the precise reason why you should update Set Sail. Please hurry, I'm horny.
I spent nearly nine years not getting why this show was this popular... Near the end of that ninth year, I finally got it.
