So, it's been a little bit since I updated. A few weeks, perhaps? And the last update was a bit on the somber side. I really do hope things over there get better and soon, but knowing the political climate, it's likely gonna be a long road. So, expecting the worst but hoping for the best...
Anyway, as for more light matters, let's start with my projects here on this site. I'm really sorry to say, but I haven't worked on ANY writing at all. I feel terrible about that, but honestly... I couldn't be assed. Summer was just miserable and hot, and the motivation was lost on me. Hopefully this coming fall will help. I'm cooler now, less miserable, and I'm starting to feel the motivation bug bite the edges of my ears, so it's all good signs. I'm gonna see about trying to get another "Beautiful Stories" chapter done, as well as hopefully work on "King of Games" a bit (maybe I should construct an "Egyptian" themed playlist to help with that). With Halloween approaching, I'm gonna also have to make another "Apparition Amphitheater" installment. I've got an idea lined up at least, but I gotta actually get it rolling. So, I suppose we'll see how it goes and what I'll do.
On top of that, and this is a more personal thing, but I've been kinda working on a Table Top RPG. I had NO previous interest in games like Dungeons and Dragons, but for whatever reason, I've been watching a lot of Youtube videos that tell stories based on the game and player experiences, and have been listening to my friends talk about it on and off, and I kinda wanted to get in on that, but in a completely different direction. So far, all I've got is the premise, backstory, races, NPCs, some weapons, most enemies, some (if not most) skills, most items, and the basic outline of how the combat would work. I ran some tests on said combat and it seems to mesh well and the friends I had to test it liked it well enough, but some tweaking needs to be done in order to make it flow better and make sure that single moment group enemy encounters don't take an hour to get through. Maybe I'll talk about it more when I've got more of a solid outline and/or when I'm ready to start a first session/Session Zero, but I'll just leave it at that for now.
As for miscellaneous things, I've been playing more "Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door" and seemingly nearing the end, I'm in the thick of playing SoulSilver (gonna go beat the shit out of Team R and put an end to their Gyarados scam), and have been poking along DMC5 every now and then to get my combat on, and playing Devil Summoner 1 on and off. Kinda just getting ready to re-play SMT Nocturne when it eventually comes out in the west, which I'm VERY excited for. I bought it originally used for my PS2, but I'd like to be able to get it new for once. On top of this, with Halloween approaching, I'm kinda working on an actual costume. I hope it'll turn out great. If It does, I'll see if I can link/show-off some images.
