    Reaction Story Ideas

Hello everybronie, it is I, Posh, actor, writer, philosopher, creator of the hit series “Big Octopi in Little Delphi,” inventor, writer, occasional male escort, deposed vice-regent of Luxembourg, writer, actor, critic, writer, and overall tall drink of water. I’m here today to discuss a new trend I’ve seen in the MLP fan fiction community: Reaction stories.

    What is a reaction story?

    Chapter Eight is Live

The real chapter eight. What was originally labeled as chapter eight, “Pasta al Forno,” was an April Fool’s joke that sprang from a ficlet Dubs wrote me for Jesus Day. The chapter titles and order have been rearranged to reflect this.

The Pros and Cons of Giving a Damn

"I'm not looking for pity. I'm trying to make a point. Girls like us can't rely on anyone, can't get attached to anyone. You just set yourself up to get hurt down the line when they're gone.

"’Cuz they're always gone, in the end."

    Donations Page: For Billy Kametz

    Billy Kametz has passed away.

For those of you who don’t know who that is, he is Ferdinand von Aegir. For those of you who don’t know who that is, first of all, shame on you. Second, he was also someone named Jotaro. In English.

Or Josuke. I don’t watch that show. He was someone named Jojo; I don’t know which one.

Posh's Story Reviews: Folio The Second - Part Two - A Mire From Which There Can Be No Exodus

Awoooo, awaaaaa, amooooooooo. I’ve finished communing with the Elder Spirits, those phantom deities which lend me their neurons to write these glorious literary critiques. They’ve guided me to two more stories, to add onto my previous blog. In exchange, they are slowly siphoning my lymphatic fluids for their own purposes (I think they carbonate it and use it as a mixer in cocktails).

The Spoileriffic Document of Pony Gear Solid: Character Sheet · 8:29am Feb 15th, 2012

To those of you who remember that I'm writing a story called Pony Gear Solid, I'm sorry for the delay, both in updating chapter five and in posting chapter six. You can blame the recent writing contest for that. It's occupying most of my creative energy at the moment. Once that's over and done with, I'll get back to giving my readers relatively well-written chapters about a grizzled mercenary and his cartoon pony pals fighting evil.

Until then, I've decided to waste time writing a pointless character sheet, containing a list of cast members both new and old. You probably already know who all of them are, and so will not care about this post. This will upset me and drive me to self-harm, but I will do it anyway. I'll update this list with new characters as they come, mostly to remind myself that I have a thing I'm doing.

PHILANTHROPY

Solid Snake
A legendary soldier-turned-internationally-wanted-fugitive. He infiltrated Equestria via a mysterious gateway on an island in the Pacific Ocean, in pursuit of the private military company, Pegasus Wings. Snake has formed a tentative alliance with the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, and though he finds himself continually exasperated and annoyed with their quirkiness, he's developed a grudging respect for them.

Otacon
Hal Emmerich, PhD. Brilliant weapons scientist who designed Metal Gear REX. He works with Solid Snake, his closest friend, to disarm and destroy the remaining models of his creation. Though he typically acts as Snake's radio support, the nature of the current mission has cut off their contact with one another.

EQUESTRIA

Twilight Sparkle
Element of Magic. Equestria's most faithful student. De facto leader of her group. Though bursting at the seams with theoretical knowledge, she has little practical experience. Her time in Ponyville has taught her many valuable life lessons. She doesn't quite see eye-to-eye with Solid Snake, but recognizes the current threat enough to put aside their tension.

Applejack
Element of Honesty. Farmer. Caring and forthright. Being orphaned has left her fiercely protective of her remaining family, to the point of straining her friendship with Fluttershy over an incident regarding Applebloom and a cockatrice. She has thrown herself into rescuing her sister, and is willing to work with Solid Snake to that end.

Fluttershy
Element of Kindness. Animal caretaker. She is nervous and skittish, but extremely devoted to her friends. Threatening them is a fast ticket to her bad side. She feels guilt and shame over her small part in Applebloom's disappearance and follows Applejack for the sake of atonement.

Rarity
Element of Generosity. Fashionista. Despite her posh exterior, she has a heart of gold. She finds Snake to be a bit of a ruffian, but is thankful for his company on the mission nonetheless.

Rainbow Dash
Element of Loyalty. Weather pony. A tough-talking, trick-flying showboat who's unerringly loyal to her friends. Though a bit thoughtless at times, her heart is usually in the right place. She finds Solid Snake's name hysterical.

Pinkie Pie
Element of Laughter. Pastry chef. Pinkie Pie's calling in life is to bring joy to everypony she meets. She possesses a mysterious gift to override the laws of nature and physics on command, but is either unaware of her gift, or uninterested in using it for anything besides casual fun. She, too, finds Solid Snake's name hysterical.

Spike
Number one assistant and oldest friend to Twilight Sparkle, and one-time understudy as Element of Loyalty. Despite his immaturity, he is well-read and well-liked in Ponyville. Grappling with feelings of uselessness, he volunteers to help rescue Applebloom.

Applebloom
Youngest child of the Apple family. Though she enjoys a close relationship with her sister, a violent argument drove a wedge between the two of them, causing her to run away. In a period of less than twenty-four hours, she was attacked by a manticore, rescued by a human and a zebra, and kidnapped by human mercenaries. She's grateful to Snake for rescuing her, but too shy to express it, and settles for a quasi-playful, antagonistic relationship.

Zecora
Rhyming zebra witchdoctor. Her apothecary skill saves Snake's life when he is stung by a manticore. She appears to know more about the situation than she lets on.

PEGASUS WINGS

Alistair Cain
Founder of the Pegasus Wings PMC, and ex-soldier of Zanzibar Land. Commander Cain is a seasoned veteran with sound skill and knowledge. However, his behavior in the months leading to the Equestrian mission was erratic, and a series of bizarre financial and tactical decisions led to the resignation of a significant number of his force. Commander Cain possesses a fully operational Metal Gear, with an active nuclear missile, but to what end he intends to use it is unknown.

Ronald Quincy Case
High-ranking member of Pegasus Wings. Though he has served with Commander Cain since they were together in Zanzibar Land, he has his doubts about the current leadership of the army. He questions Cain's judgment, and believes him to be negatively influenced by outside circumstances.

Trenton
Cyborg ninja possessing superhuman speed, strength, dexterity, and reflexes. He is the second cybernetic construct, following the late Grey Fox, and is proud of his superior construction. Despite this, he appears mentally unsound. His behavior is inconsistent.

Macbeth
Revolutionary. Currently in hiding after his failed attempt at a coup d'etat. Though mostly a lunatic crackpot, he is an ambitious lunatic crackpot, which makes him dangerous. By some means, he contracted the Pegasus Wings army to aid him in staging a second revolution. He doesn't intend to lose this time.

THE SORROW

The Sorrow
Fallen member of the Cobra Unit, the legendary special forces squadron that single-handedly kept the Nazi war machine in check. He appears to Snake in a facsimile of Shadow Moses Island, speaks in cryptic riddles, then returns him to the world of the living. This may or may not be important in the long run.

Now all you need to is add Snakes own Cyborg ninja called Raiden, and then you can have a epic fight of Cyborg ninja VS Cyborg ninja, go Raiden and Soild Snake.

Awesome! I sure hope Octacon and Raiden get to Equestria pretty soon.
