    Hiya, lovely peeps!

Welcome to Behind-the-page, the series where I give you background information on my newest release. On today’s spotlight, we have: Relapse!

So, first story on the year on the tail end of April. Suppose I’m going to be a little slow on stories this year as compared to last year. But no matter.

The Absolute Best of Heartstrings - Shelf 1

    Hiya, lovely peeps!

I love the written word. I love books and fanficiton and blogs; I just love reading in general. When I first picked up reading in 2016, I expected stories to be just that - stories. There’s a plot, characters do this and that, reach climax and end plot. I didn’t know that ‘themes’ and ‘depth’ and ‘feels’ were ever in those stories.

I’ve never been glad to more wrong.

Alicorns & Immortality · 6:55am Jun 10th, 2020

Hiya, lovely peeps!

On May 25th, I wrote a blog post about my theory of Twilight’s alicornhood. I said that destiny gave Twilight her wings, not Celestia. Today, I have another theory, still concerning Princess Twilight Sparkle. In short: Twilight is not immortal. That’s right. She’s not!

Here’s why.

Celestia and Luna were fairly young when they became princesses. Luna herself says that they were too young to understand the sacrifice that the Pillars did. So, the Royal Sisters rule for a century, and then Nightmare Moon happens. Celestia has no choice but to banish her away. Heartbroken, she rules alone.

And that’s where things change. Celestia realizes that she’s not only Equestria’s sole ruler now, she’s also the land’s sole protector. She doesn’t know if her sister will ever return. There’s no telling what Celestia did in The Millenium. She has to force herself to live, despite her growing age.

Centuries pass, and Celestia continues to force her body to live. She has to, for her kingdom’s sake. She finally decides to find an heir to Equestria’s throne, or at the very least, someone who’ll protect the land in her stead. Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns (CGSU) is founded. The princess begins her search for an heir.

At this point, you may ask yourself, “What does that have to do with Twilight’s (supposed) immortality?” I’m getting to that.

Princess Celestia searches for the heir, and after a very long time, she finds her. Or rather, she came to the princess. The second Celestia saw Twilight Sparkles’s cutie mark, she knew that her sister will return. Celestia trains Twilight to take her place, unbeknownst to the unicorn of course. When Twilight is granted alicornhood, Celestia can finally relax.

Alicorns are not immortal, and the paragraphs I just wrote is my theory as to why. To put it simply: Celestia forced her body to live, because there was no one left to look after the kingdom if she had died. But times changed; Celestia adopted Cadance, then Luna returned, and then Twilight was crowned.

Although, I do believe that alicorns have longer lifespans than most ponies. Now that Twilight is ruler, the Sisters can both rest in peace.

I firmly believe that alicorns do die, eventually.

Fight me.

an issue i have with this hole thing

its the divine right of kings saying twilight is factually better than every one around her she is above them in status in ability and every one has to accept it they can never measure up to her and should never aim above there station in life

I’m really sorry, aceina, but I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re saying. Try typing that comment with better grammar and more punctuation, please.
