My Personal History to Creating Stories & My Next Biggest Story Project · 10:01am May 26th, 2020
(I originally wrote down a lengthy blog but accidentally restarted the tab, deleting what I wrote down, so I'll make it a quick summary)
I wrote my first story - which was incomplete - between 8 to 12 years old, it was a Mario & Luigi fanfic which only myself and classmates knew and listened to me read it to them, I sadly don't have the original manuscript. My second story I wrote between Grades 7 to 8 with a friend, I was the author and he was the illustrator, the story was a zombie apocalypse comedy focusing on a family trying to reach safety, but was put in the back-burner. My third story was made in my earlier times in highschool, which is the source to all my OC Universe stories - the Living World - which was also inspired by three factors - the main character was inspired & made from a class drawing assignment, concept for the world and first continent the hero would explore from a sketch I made during elementary school, and the name of the character would come from when I was making my Minecraft account during the earlier moments Minecraft was a thing, Animatorsnake... that or Animatorbear... yeah that single moment would be the defining moment to my writing hobby and joining the fandom.
The fourth defining factor that would help to fully flesh out my OC Universe and stories is me joining the MLP:FIM fandom and becoming a brony. I became a brony through the fandom and not the show, as back then I wasn't interested even though there were several opportunities I could had become one but never had any interest. What really caught my interest and decided I wanted to join this fandom was finding a Youtube series focusing on Derpy and the Doctor; I would officially consider myself a brony was around 2016 right after I made my Deviantart account.
The three stories I consider my biggest accomplishments is writing Knight of the Void for being my first story being a part of a group universe, The Four Conquerors for being the first time story I wrote that is from an existing media(s) as I was afraid to write anything that wasn't originally thought up by me, and the third story that I would write alone if it weren't incessant need to make and come-up with new ideas constantly, I Am (No) God.
The next and fourth biggest story project will be coming next!
This story will focus on one of my favorite video games that I've been playing a lot during these troubling times - 7 Days to Die - which I'll use the game mechanics and concept of this game and several others as either major or minor importance for my next story. Out of the twelve story ideas - this being the thirteenth - I have made, this one is probably think will come close to being a large-scale story like IANG.
It will focus on a human who's transferred to Equestria 1500 years before the main events take place, which he'll have the powers and abilities mainly from 7 Days to Die and other games - but mainly that game as he'll later unlock and discover his other powers through other means.
The story itself won't be worked on until maybe week or two from now, but I'll post a lengthy prologue to see how any of you feel about this latest story I'm making.
Now why did I write down a history about my writing and stories... well, when I playing 7 Days to Die and thinking of this idea, it made me reminiscence about how I came to the current position about at and how different things would had ended up if I didn't join the fandom... I would had either focused my attention on my personal story project, the Living World and other things... but would had went back to a particular dark place in both my psyche and how I interacted from outside my comfort zone... I would had emotionally and mentally upset and alone...
I am honestly happy I became a part of this fandom, albeit small from my view and while there have been some ups and downs... I wouldn't trade these memories and feelings with anything else.
I hope to keep writing and bring this latest story as quick as possible, it was nice making this blog... See yeah all later!
